Just an overnight stay, but was very satisfied with the room, cleanliness and value of this hotel. Recent renovations definitely improved this hotel as we had stayed here a few years back and we were very disappointed. Location to mall downtown was great too!

Very comfortable stay at the Plaza
I was in Wausau on business and had a comfortable room. I did notice a water leak under the toilet and I called the front desk and got an immediate knock on the door from [...]the maintenace guy. He fixed the leak in no time at all.Really good location.I didn't find a local dining guide or attractions book in the room.

Nice and easy
It was nice and easy, clean and comfortable, and I got a room on the top floor. Only thing is that there wasn't much of a view, only rooftops

under remodeling,
motel was off the beaten path. I wasn't happy about the pool closing at 10 pm. The bathrooms weren't very clean.

New frequent traveler to Wausau
Not so great!
Pool and hot ub were closed.........nothing was indicated on website about it. Asked for a hot tub room in place ofthe hot tub that wasn't functioning. Was denied and told yes for an additional $100.00. Room was done up one of the days. Just all around poor

Would not stay again!
We stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago and had a great time, however this was not the case from check in this trip. As soon as we walked in the side doors after checking in to go to our room we were ready to walk out and find another hotel. The windows were all full of moisture and the walls were bubbling (paint) and there was mold all down the hall on the walls and windows. We asked to be moved to a different area in the hotel which we were. This area was a bit better. Upon leaving the next morning my daughter was walking down the stairs and had water dripping on her head, the floors were saturated. For the price I paid I could have stayed at a motel 6 or super 8 and been much happier.

Visiting the Fam
Affordable...needs some updating
Meets our needs for the price. Quiet. Kiddie pool for the little ones. Hotel overall could use some updating. Disappointed to see that the "make your own waffles" and other continental breakfast items have been removed....only the basics are left (juice, coffee, apples/oranges, cereal, toast...)

Was a welcome respite
Nice overnight enroute to somewhere else. Did not use restaurant. The pool is nice. We had a quiet room which seemed a bit dark and musty. But I'd stay again. Quite affordable and convenient. Wireless internet is free.
