Days Inn Wausau/North/I-52

THIS HOTEL SUCKS!! It's noisy, tiny room, and not very clean. I'm a police officer and I've seen bigger and nicer jail cells. There is absolutely no excuse for a Days Inn to be this run down. I don't know how the other Days Inn is in Wausau, but it could not be worse.

The room was disgusting. There were cobwebs from the ceiling, stains on the bedspread, the phone was so nasty that I did not even want to call the front desk to ask for a refund. The alarm clock was even gross. In addition, it also smelled rancid! This is a hotel that you can live in for only 499.00 a month. We could not believe that Days Inn allows this to represent their company! Needless to say, we left and stayed at the hotel across the street, which was nice!!!!

No pool. Breakfast was spartan. Pillows were not comfortable. If you just need a place to sleep a few hours, it's fine; but you may want to look elsewhere if you want some nicer amenities.

The room was nice enough, but the toilet tank would not fill with water and because of that the toilet was dirty. Also a fight between two women guests ensued at 3:00 a.m. and woke us up. Otherwise it was fine.

Decent place for the money. Located right off highway and near restaurants. It was good for the money and pretty clean. Hallway had a slight stale cigarette odor. Biggest complaint was small and crowded. Traveled with my wife and two little kids, so 4 in a room was cozy. Small room, small sink area, and breakfast area was especially small and crowded.

Price was right... heat control wasn't

Just a stopping point on way up to northern WI. Great location off of highway, friendly staff, and nice continental breakfast. Room was decent in size. Extremely noisy however - could hear every little noise in the hallway. Did not get a great night's sleep.

Travelled for business (national athletic event). Booked efficiency apt on internet and phoned to be assured of specific room availability. Despite this, the room was not available upon arrival, and staff was not particularly responsive to my priority requests. Problem was solved in excellent fashion the next day by a different staff member. Overall, it worked out in a positive way, though one day was compromised due to subpar accomodation and need to move.(Note: I never did get an efficiency apt, resulting in increased food costs and budgeting challenges)

I'm more about a low price than everything being new and snazzy in the room and in that regard this room was just fine. The beds were on the firm side, for me a plus and something I've found to be rare at this price point. People in the hall or in the room next door could be heard somewhat. The room was clean although the decor is a bit out of date and whoever painted it last time was sloppy about it. My brief encounters with the staff were positive. Mid scale dining and local markets are right next door so the location works well. I'll probably stay here again when I come back next year.
