A favorite stop
I'm in Watertown once a year on business and always look forward to staying here. The hotel is well kept, clean, and the usual value for a Holiday Inn Express. But the staff sets this place apart from other hotels. The ladies at the desk and in the breakfast area are cheerful and helpful, often going out of their way to make sure my group is cared for. This time exceeded my expectations as usual. However, there was a gentleman working one evening that could take some lessons from the cheerfulness of the ladies, and smile occasionally. Look forward to being back next year.

Zwiegs diner on Main St. seems like a must-eat at place during the trip, and we were looking forward to our home-cooked meal. However we sadly discovered they are cash only, and had to make other plans. Also, Tribeca Cafe on Main St. is the best coffee shop in town. Great drinks and a wonderful staff.

Holiday Inn Express, Watertown, WI
I was in Watertown to attend my cousins wedding. I visited relatives that I had not seen in quite a while and also made my usual stops at Zweig's Grill and Mullen's. I also wanted to check out a campground and the staff was very helpful in showing me how to find the campground, since there was road construction and lots of detours. The breakfast they have is excellent. All of the staff members were very pleasant and helpful. My room was always clean - excellent cleaning staff too. And the cookies that are baked late in the afternoon always hit the spot. The have a computer attached to a computer in the lobby, so you can print out maps from mapquest, or any other program. Wifi in the rooms worked fine. I had no problems making a connecton. I did not have a chance to use the pool or the weight room, but I did see others using the equipment and swimming and it was not overcrowded. All in all, I had a great experience staying here and I would highly recommend it to others.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Holiday Inn gaveme directions to the River Bend campground so I could check out the facilities. They also had information on the Octagon House, Riverside Park, where I heard a band concert, River Walk park. There are a lot of things to do in the area.

Clean place, very good bfreakfast
We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but thought it was clean and the hot breakfast was very good.

Check out Berres Brothers coffee cafe and coffee manufacturing facility. It was great.
