Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SUPERIOR

Good accommodations. Great breakfast. Hotel staff was excellent. The manager was working the front desk. She was friendly and helpful. When asked for a good eatery for lunch she suggested a restaurant just a short drive and gave us a key card that gave us a discount. We were able to check in early and check out late. This gave us the opportunity to extend our visit and game playing.

We booked this hotel expressly because we have a 2 year old and it had a pool. After we checked in, we went down to the pool. The spa was warm, the pool was chilly. The next day, the spa was cold and the pool still chilly. We tried to swim, but after 10 minutes our kid's teeth were chattering and we had to get out. BIG disappointment for our weekend getaway. Pool at the hotel next door appeared to to be working fine. We'll just stay there next time!

Average hotel. I have been to numerous Holiday Inn Express's and this, by far, is the worst. For $165 a night, I expected alot more. Dont waste your money here. Instead goto Duluth, MN and grab a nice hotel on the water for $200 a night. Its located right by everything. Issues included Toilet broke, shower handle very lose, no HOT water for 2 days. I am not staying her next time I travel up that way.

the shower didn't drain and the toilet seat was loose. the lighting in the bathroom was terrible.the rest was fine - clean enough.

The bed was the perfect firmness, the sheets felt great, the down comforter was very homey. The hot breakfast was hot and as tasty as any restaurant. The room and halls were quiet with no running children or loud guests. The hot tub was roomy, the perfect temperature, and not too much chlorine. The staff was smiling and happy to be there.

Hotel itself was clean and quiet. Only problem was breakfast had no information as to ingredients in all foods causing a problem for child who has food allergies. Should post all food ingredients and what is used in preparation of same food. The extra money spent to stay at express not worth it for this reason.

It was a very nice experience. I travel a lot for work and I notice first impressions. The tile in the entry way was cracked and I thought, "I hope the rest of the hotel isn't in this state of repair." I was pleased to see that it wasn't. Very nice. Rooms and beds very comfortable! Loved the breakfast!

My family was in Superior for my friend's wedding and stayed here because of the close proximity to the wedding venue. The staff was friendly, always greeting us with a smile. The room was comfortable, although it was a bit tight with four of us in the room. One complaint with the room was that, with the exception of one very small double hook on the wall, there were no other hooks or towel bars in the bathroom, so there was no place to hang used towels or cosmetic bags. Also, I asked for a rollaway bed for one of my daughters to use, and it was the worst rollaway bed I've every come across. We ended up putting the mattress on the floor, and even then my daughter was poked and jabbed by the coils. Overall, our stay was comfortable.

The room was clean and beds comfortable. BUT... between the two queen beds were THREE 2 to 3 inch metal slats that protruded from boxspring. We both cut our legs on these slats and had to surround the metal slats with pillows to avoid injury. When we told the front desk the gal replied that she knew about them ("a few rooms have metal protruding from the mattress")and she had to avoid them when she was a maid in the hotel. They could not relocate us to another room because they were full. So, my husband and I now have gashes on our lower leg as a reminder about this trip!

The room was very clean. Unfotunately we picked a night with a few sports teams were staying there, so not very quiet. The room made a few weird noises at night as well. Only three bath towels for four adults. The breakfast was great. Staff were very freindly. Check in and out very quick and easy. would stay here again!
