The staff that greeted us was in dirty clothes, we could see dust on furniture, around baseboards, and on the closet shelf. On the website it states that you get fitness passes for a gym, when we got there the front desk staff told us that was untrue. The pool does not open until 8am. No lids for the coffee cups. I found a long black hair in one of the towels that they supply. The cleaning people did not replace amenities. We had to go to the front desk for things everyday.

A place to stay
This hotel was clean and worked as a place to stop over and catch some sleep. The rooms were outdated, and it is right beside the highway (convenient, but somewhat noisy). Lots of truck drivers seemed to stay there, and we could hear them all starting early in the morning. Our lamps flickered, the TV had strange colours, and our fridge was so loud we had to unplug it. The blankets weren't very warm and there weren't any spares in the closet. Overall, it was clean, which was the most important. It wasn't very attractive, but for the price I guess that shouldn't be surprising. An ok place to sleep, but not someplace I would want to spend a lot of time.

Pizza Couple
Relaxing & filling
Spent the weekend in Duluth for some R & R. All other hotels were over $200, but this one was very reasonably priced, clean and staff was very helpful and friendly.

Pizza Couple
Weekend get away
We were looking for a last minute weekend get away on the North Shore. Most rooms were priced above $250 or booked. Found this room for $119 and it was a clean, quite and had excellent and helpful staff. Found the BEST EVER Pizza joint just 3 miles down the road--but they also deliver. VIP or Vintage Italian Pizza is absolutely the best we have ever had! Thanks for the recommendation from the hotel clerk. The only downsize was the road construction in Duluth, but otherwise, the hotel was nicely furnished with a fridge, microwave, sofa, pool, and great staff.

Nice hotel
This hotel will be an excellent choice for anyone visiting the Canal park area once the Minnesota freeway construction is finished.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was that there were several dogs in the yards behind the hotel (where our room was facing) that were barking for a long period of time. We asked to change rooms and it was much better.

i really enjoyed the pool, it was really warm! the continental breakfast would have been better with some fruit that wasn't rotten.
