Super 8 Sturgeon Bay

the WIFI only worked in the lobby area...not our room. the sheets and towels were yellow. The sheets were very thin. There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee pot. Breakfast was all carbs. Not a piece of fresh fruit. Probably will not stay here a gain.

Serveral of my female friends and I do an annual getaway weekend. This year we selected Sturgeon Bay and the Door County area. The Super 8 location and price were superb. The pool and hot tub were great and were key to our hotel selection. The hotel itself is a bit "worn" and needs updating BUT was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast left a lot to be desired.

The room was dirty upon arriving. There was a bottle cap on the floor. The sheets were stained, comforter had cigarette burns on it. The toliet rocked at the base. Housekeeping enter the room with the sign stating do not disturb on it. Asked for new sheets and they were stained also.

My adult daughter and I were on our way to Washington Island. This motel seemed somewhat run down. They were construction a new doorway to the breakfast area..plaster and framing wood were very evident. Other areas needed attention as well. Food was reasonable, location was good - if isolated-

Hotel was fine...I did find out when I arrived that I had to go back home the next day and needed to cancel the second day reservation. [...]

We were picking up my daughter from Birch Creek Music camp in Egg Harbor. It is almost impossible to find a hotel room at this time of the year there and Super 8 was the only one available...I think I know why now! Outside of the hotel stay...Door County is is great place to visit!

Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. Everything has been refurbished except the room doors. Beautifully coordinated decor - thumbs up! My wife loved the place! Looks forward to next stay!

the clumps of hair in pool totally grossed me out. had to get out immediately nasty!

When we arrived at the hotel we waited about 10 min. before the front desk lady even addressed we were there(she was on the phone) when she finally came out of the office we asked if it was possible to do an early check in. she said that we could but it would be about a half hour before the rooms would be ready(which was really nice). we got to our rooms and they were a little unsightly but dealable because they were cheap. we also noticed that when you flushed the toilets they ran FOREVER. we then went out for a little while looked around and went to eat. when we came back we decided to go swimming. my husband and i were the first to the pool and hot tub. we noticed that the water was yellowish but went in. my husband made the comment that his hands felt grimy in the water. then my sisters husband joined us in the hot tub and a few secs later my sister comes in and says that the toilet was overflowing. the front desk lady was cleaning the pool so they told her. she then asks them to go back into the now flooding bathroom and turn the water off. she continues cleaning the pool for about a minute and then finally calls someone to go take care of it. while my husband and i are in the hot tub we start discussing the situation and then noticed the rust build up around the hot tub and that it had stained the back of my white tank top. we decide that with all of this that we would rather stay somewhere clean and pay more. so we go back to our rooms and my brother and sister come back to our room cause the staff is cleaning up the mess in their room (the water had flooded into the room, and they were cleaning it up and using towels and newspapers to clean it) we start looking for different hotels [...] we get a call from her saying that it was our fault that the room flooded. that my brother used too much toilet paper, which really t'd us off not only because their toilets continuously ran after you flushed them so there obviously was already something wrong but also because when he went it flushed fine, my sister was the last one to use it and she went pee!!! if that clogged their toilet then obviusly they need a new toilet!!! in the end we ended up having to pay $25 each cause we had had the rooms for about 7 hours. the fact that we had to pay anything was way too much!! dont ever stay there!!!
