No comfort at this Inn
Our room was horrible. It stunk! It smelled like wet carpeting--I even felt the carpeting to see if it was wet. It was like a damp, musty basement. The shower curtain was also moldy. I never got "used to" the smell. When I complained the next day, the very unfriendly desk clerk offered no apology. He merely asked if I wanted a different room and that's what I got.

The old couple
A good price-value motel.
It is a fair drive to the other towns on the penninsula but for the price it is a good location choice. It was clean and the breakfast was very good. Some room to room noise in the evenings but not a big problem.

See the town waterfront and marine museum. The fireboat ride is a relaxing trip with photo ops at each end of the channel.

not that happy
I had 2 problems. the sink drained slow and the room had a bad odor. They sprayed the room with a deoterizer that lasted 1 night. We slept with the window open. They never tried to fix the sink. I would like a discount or refund. They stated "I paid Orbitz and they would talk to you". They probablly didn't do that either. Al

Liked the large room and ...
Liked the large room and space. Easy to get to our room. Only slight negative, Came back on Wed. night and the maid had left the air comditioner on full force and it was so cold in the room we had to put on the heat for a while. We had left the air off when we left. I had trouble seeing the sign to turn off as the hotel was behind another business. Over all, liked the hotel.

the hotel didn't have anything close to walk to, but we knew what we were going to see....Lighthouses. Everything is close in Door County. Enjoyed

This hotel was OK for people who can't afford to stay in the high priced Door County hotels or B & B's. It is about a 25 min. drive north to the touristy distinations. The place was nothing more than average and seemed to have not been remodeled in years. Would not stay here again with so many nearby alternatives.

Very homelike, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to this motel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The continetal breakfast has alot to offer. For any futher trips to Stugeon Bay I will choose this motel! The room was clean and comfortable. The distance to historic Sturgeon Bay was less than a 3 min. drive. My room had a refrigerator and a microwave which was nice since I stayed 4 days. The extra pillows on the bed helped make the bed and room more inviting. It was awesome! Its called Door Counry cruises.

The bridge that crosses over to the sturgeon bay leads to awesome little stores bars-resturants. One of the best experiences was doing the sunset cruise located on the water at Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center. The sunset cruise has food, nd music, on a luxery Cruise ship. Well worth the trip!!!!!!

Very Good Value
The staff was courteous, and helpful in giving directions. I also liked the complimentary breakfast (some motels advertise this, but provide very little variety, etc.)
