pool is fun for the kids, but noisy rooms
The pool/waterslide was great. Although, a few degrees warmer would be nice. The whirlpool was awesome. The room layout with the bunk beds for the kids was great. The beds were a little too firm for my liking, and the heating system was so noisy it would wake you when it kicked on.

The Amber Grill attached to hotel (owned by Holiday Inn) was great. Up to 4 kids eat free with paid adult if adult is staying overnight.

Comfy bed!!!
I really enjoyed their comfortable bed. It was just the right blend of firm but softness. Everything was great including the check in service, the cleaniless and its decor. I cannot give it a perfect score because they shut the water slide down the weekend we were there. My daughter was very disappointed and I was sad that they didn't let us know before we checked in. There is no adult pool to swim in so there's not much to do when the slide isn't working.

The hotel restaurant is good but you can find the same good food at Applebee's and Buffalo Wild Wings which are very close to the hotel.

Excellent stay! The staff was very friendly, rooms very clean and pool are was excellent for the kids. We will stay here again if in the area.

Good location. Nice hotel.
We checked in and they gave us a wonderful suite, with whirlpool and fireplace. The only downer was the bed in the sutie was about a double bed size.

Enjoyable Stay
Great family suite with cute bunk beds. My youngest was thrilled with the room service too! VERY clean. Only three things to improve. No blankets or second sheet on the bunk beds, the water in the pool was so cold my 3 year old was shivering after 5 minutes, and even though the room service was wonderful, I think it's the only option for breakfast. However, I would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at the hotel to go to the Iola Old Car Show plus revisit the taverns on The Square. The hotel was very clean, and extremely comfortable. Pillow top mattresses, quiet AC/heat unit, nice size shower, and LCD TV. The room had a small microwave and fridge, perfect for restaurant leftovers. While the pool was small, it was perfectly fine because it had a 3-story waterslide!! There was also a kiddie pool with a little slide, a seperate pool with basket ball hoops, hot tub, and a water slide. Pool temperature was perfect. The restaurant was a little on the pricier side, but the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. I would definitely stay here again. :)

Downtown Stevens Point has a great selection of about 15 bars in a 2 block area. The variety of taverns include: casual, classy, martini, dance, sports, and mixed. You can definitely find a bar to suite your mood and they are so close together you can fall out of one bar right into the next. Plus the local tavern league sponsors the Safe Ride Home Program that provides a free taxi ride if you've indulged too much. A fun and safe way to relax or celebrate.
