Hotel Nightmares

When I first arrived, the first thing that I noticed in both rooms was the strong pet urine odor. I have allergies, but the hotel was booked. I was really tired so I overlooked it and tried to take a nap. The sheets were soiled with makeup and facial oil on one bed and the other bed's sheets were inside out and messy. An hour after I checked in, I had just fallen asleep for a nap after an incredibly long journey. All of a sudden I woke from hearing noises at the door, thinking it was my son, I said, "Just a minute.." When I opened my eyes, there were two gentlemen over 6 feet tall standing in front of my bed! The hotel had resold my room and these two men walked in on me while sleeping. When I went to complain at the front desk they told me that they were training a new girl and she made a mistake. They did not make any attempts to make me feel better, nor did they offer any compensation for my interrupted sleep or saftey. When I went back to my room my key no longer worked. After dinner, the hotel was packed full of families with young children that were not supervised. Kids were screaming and running through the hotel playing "tag" in the hallway. It was so chaotic it was maddening. I went to look for someone who was on duty. I checked the front desk...no one. I checked the laundry room...no one. So, I yelled at the children and asked them to get their parents. Then I had to deal with parents who were drinking beer by the cases at the pool while their children ran wild throughout the hotel unsupervised. When the Hotel manager or staff person did show up...I was exasperated, exhausted, and incredibly upset. Why did I have to endure so much incompetence? I went back to my room to shower, only to find mold on the bath mat, and the towels in disarray. I gave all of this information upon checkout and the manager who has only been there for two days said that he would talk to the staff. I said, that is fine, but where does that leave me? He left me with no attempt in making things right There were words of apology, but nothing was done to compensate me or even attempt to earn my business back. Clearly, they must have known that they would never see me again, so why even bother to try and satisfy me in some way?

It was OK

Price was fair. Nothing stands out about the hotel. It was just a place to stay while attending a wedding. We looked forward to the indoor hot tub. The one thing we looked forward to about the hotel, made us sick. When we got in, there was no smell of chlorine, bromine or other sanitizing agents. I had heard of some places using other methods and thought maybe they did. After about 5 minutes, brown scum started forming on the top of the water and then it began to smell badly. We got out and went to take showers. When we got back home in Orlando my wife came down with a terrible headache, fever of 102 degrees, and body aches. The following day, I came down with the same thing. We have contacted Days Inn Corporate, they tolod us they were going to look into it, and would get back to us with in 7 days. We haven't heard anything yet.

fair,but not real happy

We went to a wedding. I feel a micowave would be better than refig. the toilet was dirty when we got there and then was cleaned on Saturday morning. I asked for a non-smoking room but could smell stale smoke when i entered the room. Talked with desk and was told that it was a non smoking room. But because they had changed out doors that was what i smelled. i couldnt believe that was the comment.

ok

Noisy in the morning when people were taking their showers. We could hear them in our room. Hotel was clean. Reception could have been more friendly at check in. It wasn't that he was mean, just kind of unfeeling.
