Winter on the River
This was our second stay at Harbor Winds Hotel and it won't be our last. The location is superb, the personnel are courteous and proficient, and the room is comfortable and clean...with a really great view of the river and bridge. Restaurants are close by and the river walk is a fine way to get to them..even in the snow and ice of a Wisconsin Spring! A great place to stay while in Sheboygan!

Short walk from hotel
Breakfast in Field To Fork is a must!!!! Located a few short blocks from the hotel, this is a restaurant-bakery-Italian imported food store with the most beautiful French toast I have ever eaten. And be sure to take some freshly baked French bread and thinly sliced Italian ham with you for a perfect lunch.

Great location; fine place to stay
Great location-- walk right out the door to the boardwalk, with a few restaurants and nice coffee place. Just a few blocks to downtown restaurants. Free wifi. Rooms aren't anything special, but they're clean and the beds were comfortable. Only complaint was not much sound proofing between inside and out, and half the rooms overlook the parking lot. Woke up with some early fishermen at 4am, and again when a car alarm went off at 6am. Perhaps the rooms overlooking the water would be quieter.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Go to the beach at Kohler State park, about 5 miles south of the hotel. Beautiful and not at all crowded.

Nice, clean, basic room
Nothing fancy, but our room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location couldn't be better...walking distance to town and the waterfront.

Field to Fork had such an excellent breakfast, we went there twice and came back for a delicious dinner at the attached Italian restaurant, Il Ritrovo.
