EXCELLENT LOCATION
WE WERE ON A WEEKEND GETAWAY TRAVELING ON OUR MOTORCYCLES, AND PRAIRIE DU CHIEN IS OUR FIRST NIGHTS STAY. THE STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT AND CURTEOUS. THOUGH OUR STAY WAS JUST A SHORT 1 NIGHTER I WOULD STAY THERE AGIAN.

Not up to par with other hotels in this
Hotel appeared to be trying to save money - no newspapers and no access to internet - these were advertised and food for breakfast was doled out and often not available - we had to ask for the items - not up to par with other hotels in this chain

restuarant attached to motel apparently has an in season and off season menu. Items advertised in material in brochure were not available in resturant. we were there a few weeks ahead of normal tourist season.

Great price and excellent service
I was working on some of my research across the river while I was staying here. The rooms were big, comfortable, and very clean. I was impressed by the friendliness of all of the staff, and they had a good breakfast in the morning. I also thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary cookies they leave out for guests :) They have a nice little bar/restaurant attached, but it doesnt serve anything but frozen pizza during the week, which was okay and still good pizza, but it would be nice to have more variety. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families since they have the awesome pool.
