We visited a friend and the main street activities. There was no hotel book in our room. It was a better visit we had breakfast delivery to our room which we didn't have last time. and beautiful view from our room.

Adequate for a night

Hotel was nice for a night. Seemed quieter than usual, perhaps due to many negative review of late. My experience was OK, however. I would come back because of the good location, right on Main Street, and the room was decent.

yuck

Don't be fooled by the lobby, that's about the nicest part of this hotel. The phone was busy for FOUR days, not allowing us to cancel one reservation...can you imagine that it was never even posted on their web site? You have to park in a garage and enter through there to a disgusting hall way and then into the hotel itself. Our first room was filthy and asked to moved, which they did. The second was no different but had a nice view of the river. We were creeped out by the place and had I been there by myself would have never lasted the night. As it turned out we left that night so we didn't have to sleep in the bed. Overall experience terrible. Can't imagine any convention being hosted there.

I hate to complain, but............

1. Elevators were broken in the parking garage. The desk told me they worked above the second floor, they didn't. Had to walk back down and come in through the front entrance. 2. I wanted some ice but couldn't find the ice machine on my floor. I finally went to the front desk and was told there might be one on the 2nd and 7th floor. I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't have an ice machine on every floor. Maybe I'm asking too much, but at least they could put a sign up indicating where you might find some ice? 3. The room looked worn. There was a barf stain on the carpet by the bed. The toilet was leaking on the floor, it was so late I just let it drip. The next morning I went to take a shower and the drain was plugged up. I had about 4 inches of water in the tub when I was done. For $124.00 a night in Oshkosh, WI. I expected a little more..........

Impressive from the outside only.

The hotel is in the middle of a construction area and hard to get to because of the one way streets. We had to park in the parking garage before checking in because they were doing some work on the pull up entrance and we weren't sure if we could get into the hotel from the garage without having a key. Found out the garage elevator is broken anyways. When I checked in they tried telling me that I did not pay and I kept saying I did and they said because the card wasn't mine (it's the [...] card) that I needed to pay and they tried running my card. After the manager got involved it was just an error on the desk worker (not trained for online reservations). The lobby area is very nice and the 24 hour pool is rare to come across but we did not swim. Our first room we got smelled horrible, the bed saged and is from 1991, stains on the chair and floor, dried throwup or food on tv stand that ran to the floor, water stained wall, and unclean bathroom fixtures. We got our second room which smelled better and the bathroom was cleaner but the stains on the carpet made me not want to take my shoes off, same old bed that was so uncomfortable that we still have sore backs from staying there for two days. Everything in the room (tv, bed, bathroom fixtures,..ect.) are very out dated and need some extra love. There were also stains on the carpet all the way down the hallway. The door for the hotel in the parking garage enterance to the hotel isn't secured and wide open with no lock. Anyone can come and go without anyone knowing. The only nice thing was the free wireless internet. The hotel is kind of far away from everything fun and restaurants. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but the menu we saw before we came was very high priced and we were told by a local that we could go else where for way cheaper and better food. This is not a hotel I would book again or recommend to anyone. They say they do weddings but I would never want to have my guest go through that. We were very dissapointed in the expensive price per night and horrible stay. I've stayed at cheaper hotels that had better appearance and comfort. Next time we will book a name brand hotel even if we have to drive further to get to where we need to be.

Not the best option...

This was dubbed as "under new management" and I'm not sure what that meant other than the previous management must have been horrible. Our reservation was lost, it took three times for our keys to work, and the beds and pillows were horrible. I wouldn't recommend this hotel nor stay there in the future.
