When we arrived about 11:20 pm the entrance was locked and we found an envelope with our name and a hotel/room key just lying there where anyone could have picked it up. There were no employees in the hotel. The carpeting in the room was filthy, the beds as hard as slabs and there was no breakfast as their amenities on line had touted. The free coffee was so bad my husband couldn't even drink it.

Only in a pinch...
We were in town for an anniversary party and needed a place to stay. There are only two options in Oconto and the Riverview Inn & Suites was one of them. The walls are paper thin and every word uttered in the hallway can be heard clear as day while in your room. The beds were just barely better than sleeping on a box spring, and the carpet badly needed to be replaced. As for the staff, I was hassled for a discount card (AAA or AARP)[...] indicated no kind of discount. Then I was questioned again as I walked through the lobby with my girlfriend. She wasn't with me at check-in and they demanded to know who she was and if she was staying in my room. For the price on a weekend (which was $30 more than regular weekday rates) this place was definitely not worth it. It needs some TLC and a makeover. Because there is virtually no where else to stay in Oconto, WI they really gouge you on the price.

HOTEL EXPIRIENCE
THE PERSONELL WERE VERY POLITE, THEY KEEP THE ROOMS CLEANS, THE POOL WAS NICE AND WARM, THE ONLY THING WAS THEY DON'T HAVE ANY KIND OF BREAKFAST TREATS FOR THE PRICE OF THE ROOM WAS TO MUCH FOR ME BUT I DIDN'T HAVE NO CHOICE SINCE THATS WAS THE ONLY MOTEL CLOSE TO WHO WE WERE VISITING. I PROBLABLY WON'T STAY THERE TO MUCH $ TO STAY THERE.

Riverview Inn and Suites
Booked two rooms [...]. One for myself and one for my employees. My employees arrived about an hour before I did, and the clerk would not let my employee check-in. They had to present their own personal debit card and have a hold placed on it. They switched it over to my credit card when I got there, but the hold was still on my employees debit card the next day. [...] Also, old 19 inch TV was disappointing. Will not stay there again.

Nice place except for train
Hotel itself is nice. Unfortunately there is a train track half a block away and trains went through at 2 am and 4 am, blowing their horns. Since Oconto is small, there is probably no place in town that you would not hear the horn, however.

Nice place to stay in
I arrived at the hotel late in the night: everything was set for me, though, so I could enter with no problem. The hotel is clean and I suggest to stop by. Staff is friendly and polite. You can enjoy the inner swimming pool. Breakfast is not provided, but you can get 10% off in a restaurant nearby. SD
