Comfortable hotel near Milwaukee Airport
Holiday Inn Express caters to business travelers with free wireless Internet and VPN service throughout the hotel and many business services. Good value for the money
The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable - and I rarely say that! My son had a good time in the pool, which had a couple of waterslides (not the Dells : ) but still fun). All these were pluses, since what I wanted was free airport shuttle and free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. We live near Chicago, but have given up on O'Hare, the world's worst airport with the nastiest staff! I was delighted to discover MKE; everyone was nice (!!!), airport small but had good food. And the hotel $ was just a little more than roundtrip cab fare from our house to O'Hare. Definitely worth the drive!

Milwaukee Ale house in the historic 3rd Ward - food was great, music started at 8. Really fun. Will be even better in summer when you can sit on the walk overlooking the river.

the floor in my room had lots of food residue imbedded in the carpet. felt like the room needed a good cleaning, althougfh the bathroom was OK.

fun little getaway
The hotel was very nice and clean, the check in could have been better a bit disorganized. They forget our wrist bands for the pool and failed to tell us that our key would take a few minutes to work, very annoying, ran back to the desk for a new key and that's when they told me it would take a few minutes. The water area was very nice a couple water slides and play area perfect for younger kids, my two and three year olds loved it. It was easy to find

the clerk was very helpful in finding us the closest red lobster and even printed me the driving directions.

Sufficient stay
Room was clean, hotel was easy to find. Door to room had noise issue with hallway air pressure creating a blowing noise that was annoying. Other than that staff was good and stay was comfortable. Good breakfast!

Easy Access To Airport
Easy Access to General Mitchell Airport. Great if you have a car rental or a early flight. Despite the construction going on outside it was quite in our very spacious room. Loaded with amenities and the free breakfast was well maintained. The staff was helpful and pleasant. It was quick to get onto 94 and gas stations and restaurants were conveniently located nearby. We had a king room with fridge, microwave, free wifi, huge shower, etc. Made our last night in Wisconsin a pleasant experience.

Relaxing...
Very easy check in. Exceptionally clean rooms. Kid friendly environment. After my 1st night, I ran out of tissue and towels in my room and had to call to get them. I went down to the main desk, and no one showed up for about 5 mins. The pool was great for my 4 yr old, when it wasn't over run by older kids. The room service, wasn't room service, it was an outside restaurant that charged 20 dollars for a mediocre chicken Alfredo. It was EXTREMELY expensive, and not worth it. Other than that, it was quite and relaxing here in my room.

Conenient location, near airport.
It took me 3 exchanges with front desk personnel to obtain a workable key card to open the room door. Seems that no one is interested to help guest even it was not busy.

Everything we could have asked for
We chose this location due to the easy drive to the Summerfest grounds (about 10-12 minutes away.) The room was spacious, clean and quiet. We appreciated the small things, like amply sized towels and a comfy bed. My girls loved the water park pool and we all agreed that the breakfast was among the best we had on the trip. One small thing, the computer was slow and froze up, but that was the only detraction from a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn here on previous occasions and frankly were very disappointed with our recent stay. The rooms need updating. In addition, housekeeping needs to do a better job. Our shower curtain had an odor and needed changing. I am not sure the last time rooms were really cleaned ie. mopping the floors and cleaning the walls and tiles. Further our rooms keys would not work and required us to visit the front desk on several occasions to get them rekeyed---a real inconvenience. We needed towels and had to visit the front desk only to find a clerk who would not provide the towels unless the dirty towels were provided for an equal exchange. I have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced such a practice. The low flow toilets were no joy either when you had to call to get them plunged. We will not stay here again

AirVenture 2010 Oshkosh Trip
The room was well cared for, the location was handy for hitting the freeway to the Oshkosh Convention, the staff was friendly. The price was good.
