Romantic Getaway Weekend
The hotel was great, but just be aware that parking is $24/night and can become pretty expensive. There was a lot within walking distance of the hotel, but Milwaukee was a quiet enough city where there was no problem driving to breweries that were a couple miles away and finding parking there.

Milwaukee Visit
The hotel is an old "Grand Hotel." The interior is very classic and The Milwaukee ChopHouse is an excellent restaurant located within the hotel. The filet mignon I had was perfect! It is a thirty minute walk to the harbor and many of the downtown attractions are within a twenty minute walk. The staff is friendly and helpful. Milwaukee is a beautiful and wonderful place and so is this hotel! I stayed here six years ago and I will return here next time.

The sea scallops and filet mignon were magnificent. There is a very extensive wine list available, too. Service was excellent and the fresh , warm bread with four types of spreads is a lovely start to your meal. Small, but romantic, restaurant.

its nice than in the pictures
the hotel was much nicer than I expected and the house keeping staff was very quick and friendly as where the people at the front desk. Parking was expensive and if you are looking to go to the bar scene I would stay much closer to water street. Oh and if you have kids I would TOTALLY stay here because of the mini water park!

Room was fine, great location
No complaints. Hilton bed/bedding comfortable as always. Room was clean and adequate. Hotel lobby is beautiful: old building, lots of character. It wouldn't be my first choice for a downtown hotel, but it was fine. I'd stay here again.

Hilton Downtown Milwaukee
Nice combination of a classic old hotel that has been nicely remodeled. Close to the interstate, yet downtown. Street parking was readily available and a lot cheaper than the hotel parking lot.

great ....but no adult pool
my husband and i went to the italian festival which was so much fun.we also celebrated his 50th birthday.the hotel was pretty and clean.our room was very nice.our only disappointment is that there was no pool for adults.when we decided to try the waterpark we were informed there was a fee and we could only use the hot tub.the hot tub had 6 men in it.on a super hot weekend we had no place to swim.charging to use a pool without notice before hand is not cool.otherwise great place and great miller bar downstairs.

Weekend getaway
My husband and I decided on a short weekend getaway to Milwaukee. Never having been there, we decided to stay downtown because there would be more to do. We were able to walk pretty much anywhere, except the beach. It was a little further away from out hotel than we thought. However there were many bars and resturants close by. Our room was clean and the window faced the downtown. I know there were several reviews on here about how noisy the hotel was, but we didn't have any problems. My only complaint about the hotel would have been getting an elevator. When we checked in, it took well over 10 minutes to catch a lobby elevator to our room. People were getting angry and were shoving to get on the next elevator. However, that was just at check in. Outside the hotel, my only other complaint was that we couldn't find anywhere to eat late at night/early morning. Applebee's in downtown had already closed. We tried asking some of the locals, but they recommended certain places for brunch. When you're a little tipsy and hungry, you don't want to wait for brunch!!!

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Moe's Irish Pub/Tavern was a short walk from our hotel. They run FREE shuttles to and from Brewers games. You can drink on the shuttles and it's a short ride. Best yet, they drop you off and pick you up right in front of the stadium.
