Good Value for Price

This hotel is an older hotel that has been updated. The location is not an area that I would walk around alone in at night but since there was a group of us, I felt safe. The Lobby Area is tiny but the Ambassador Hotel across the street offers a nice restaurant/bar and lobby area. Since we were only in the room to sleep, it was clean, quiet, and adequate. Good value for the money and we'd stay again. They do offer Free Shuttle Service to and from downtown locations which was nice. Free Parking as well.

Potawatami Bingo and Northern Lights Theater are about 2 miles away and the hotel offers Free Shuttle Service. The theater is a small 500 seat intimate setting, very enjoyable!

nice overnight stay

Room was clean, bed comfortable, had new flat screen TV (nice for the winter olympics). Liked the room layout with second counter/mirror adjacent to bathroom but bathroom door separated area. Good for getting dressed, using the coffee maker and hair dryer without tying up the bathroom. Good location for visiting Marquette University. No problems at all, desk clerk helpful with campus directions. For $80, it was a nice, clean, quiet place in a good location close to the college.

Great Experience!

My mom, aunt, and I decided to go to the casino for New Years Eve. We spent 1 night but the room was very clean, the staff very helpful and nice. Parking was across the street from the hotel, down the street walking distance were restaurants, and a neighborhood store which was very convenient. I would stay at this hotel again if I am visiting Milwaukee, and would recommend it to people. The price of the room was very inexpensive.

Great historic hotel!!

The hotel is right across from The Rave, so it was perfect. We went down for a concert there. I did not expect it to be so nice. Although the neighborhood isn't great, this hotel is awesome! It has been totally renovated. The rooms are very nice- feather pillows and down comforters!! There's a really nice bar inside the hotel and a nice restaurant and coffee shop, too. It's an incredible value for the price!

Ambassador Inn (NOT HOTEL) in Milwaukee

Bait and Switch?!?!

The hotel was described, when purchased, as "the only Art Deco hotel in Milwaukee" (or so I thought!). The pictures looked great! Turns out, that was the Ambassador Hotel, across the street, not the Ambassador Inn, which was extremely unattractive, very smelly, and unpleasant. The "breakfast room" was hilariously bad. (Though, I have to say, the room itself was clean and in fairly good shape).

Great Shuttle Service

In planning for our trip to Milwaukee, I was looking for a hotel near Miller Park. It turned out that the hotel wasn't close enough to walk. The shuttle service offered by the hotel was more than sufficient. We were shuttled to and from the game with minimal wait time. The shuttle service was outstanding. The area used for the continental breakfast was small and got very crowded. The items on the menu weren't kept stocked through out the morning. Overall, we had a good experience.

Nicely Remodeled

I only stayed for one night but enjoyed it. The hotel has been remodeled in the last couple of years don't expect many amenities but there was a light continental breakfast and a free shuttle that will take you almost anywhere in Milwaukee.

Totally not what I expected

There was not a cot available, and the beds were too small for two teens (double) so one of the kids had to sleep on the floor. The room itself was pretty nice, but the rest of the hotel was run down, dirty, dark and shabby--not what I expect from a Mariott.
