Shuttle makes it all worth it!
The pillows sucks, so I would bring your own if you are wanting a good night's sleep. The rooms are adequate, as well as the bathroom. The vanity outside the bathroom is nice when trying to get ready with a lot of people sharing a room. They have a shuttle that picks you up on the half hour and drops you off wherever you want to go, and just picks you up whenever you want to return to the hotel or head to your next destination. We used this several times in the weekend to go to Miller Park, the downtown district and some other restaurants in the area. The hotel bar and restaurant across the street is nice and had good food as well.

GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE
My overall experience was good. The room was clean and the amenities were good. I had a room directly across from the door to the stairway and had people coming and going all through the night.

Last Minute Getaway.
This Inn is a great value! Everything was clean and nice. The continental breakfast is quite sparse, but it's free. The staff was super friendly, it was everything we wanted. Will definitely book here again.

Missing some attention to detail
Free parking and free WiFi internet worked well and the room was quite. The iron was missing fom the room. After calling the front desk, the one house keeping brought up leaked water all over. There was also no waste basket in the bathroom. The breakfast room has really limited selections - instant coffee machine was particularly disappointing.

A wonderful place to stay
The Ambassador Inn, across Wisconsin from the Ambassador Hotel, was the perfect spot for us. The ONLY drawback is that one has to cross the street between the Hotel and the Inn, and many Milwaukee drivers use Wisconsin Avenue as a speedway. The Envoy Restaurant has great food. The adjacent bar is very nice. Staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The excercise room is well-equipped. The shuttle service is fast and free, and it enabled us to see downtown without having to cope with driving in a strange city or finding parking.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Pabst Mansion is just blocks away. It is a fantastic, Gilded Age house, furnished with many original items. There is a fantastic collection of fine porcelain, notable Nymphenburg, Meissen, and KPM.

what is that smell?
The bedding was stained and questionable. The continental breakfast was definitely missing that special something as you would get in other hotels. The nice thing about this hotel was the location near downtown, although the surrounding area is very rough. The shuttle service was very convenient and very prompt to showing up when you call for a ride.

old needs updating
needs new matresses, carpeting, everything, not inexpensive for the age of the room.......furniture mismatched......last time there.......location only advantage......maybe the real Ambassador across the street is nice but this place is a dump....spend some money......rates are too high for the rooms......

Not A Bad Stay
The Ambassador across the street was way more expensive so i stayed at the Ambassador Inn and it was a lot nicer than I expected. There was a fridge and microwave which is always nice and the room was clean. When you first walk in to the building it is a bit old and you wouldn't expect the actual room to be as nice as it was.
