I tried checking in 5 o'clock on a Saturday and there was no one at the desk. I rang the bell, I waited, I tried calling the hotel phone number to see if some one would awnser it some where in the building... Nothing! There was NO one there! Finally after about 15 minutes a gentleman came to the desk and explained that he was the only one there (ON A SATURDAY) and that there was a leak he was fixing on the 3rd floor. REALLY?!? I had places to be. Also, the rooms are SO bare and old it's embarrassing. They dont even have clocks in the rooms! Sad

Basic But Price Is Right!
This is not a as comfy as Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn, but it is half the price!! Great location close to UW Stout and just what we needed, bed & shower and CLEAN. For the money it was a wonderful value. If you like watching TV very much though, the 26 inch will probably disappoint.

Nice clean room
I was in town over night, for a Wedding Rehearsal and a wedding the next morning. The room was adequate for my needs A small refrigerator was available for an additional charge but that wasn't necessary for me.

Items listed in the hotel description that do not actually exist at this location: Pool An alarm clock A radio Items not listed that do exist: DIY guest laundry room Needed: -- An alarm clock, -- An electrical outlet by the bed so you can plug in your own alarm clock, or your computer. Pleasant Surprises: -- The room's desk was adequate in size and comfort. -- Housekeeping honored my request for "No housekeeping". That almost never happens - anywhere. -- Wireless internet signal was very strong and stable. Over all, a good experience. Just know what you're getting. And not getting.

Motel 6 Menomonie
there was no pool and limited vending machines.. to get a pop or a snack or even ice i had to go from the third floor down to the first floor. on the third floor i got my foot caught on the transition bar from the carpeted area leading to the rooms and the ceramic tile going to the elevator. all in all not impressed at all with this hotel

Happy with 2-nite Stay
We enjoyed our stay at this motel on our business trip. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. For the low price, yes, the accommodations are pretty basic; but that is all we needed - a clean room in which to clean up, sleep comfortably, and watch a little TV. The service was excellent, all staff we were in contact with were very friendly and considerate. This is our 3rd stay at this motel over the past few years, and we will stay there again the next time we are in Menomonie.

Short walk from hotel
There is a good 24-hr. Perkins restaurant a short walk or drive from the motel. They have a very inexpensive breakfast special. There is also a great place (Fuzzy's)for an all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet brunch a couple of miles SW of town- reasonably priced at $8, and they have a Fish Fry on Friday evenings that is also low-priced & delicious.

Motel 6 Was An Excellent Value
It was good. My friend and I are UoW alumni and this year our annual motorcycle trip was through Wisconsin stopping at our old stomping grounds. The motel was comfortable, very clean and was excellent for the very inexpensive rate. I would highly recommend.
