We went there for a friend's wedding. That part of the evening was wonderful. The room was run down, rdmote didn't work. Just not a very nice looking hotel.

I was traveling with an elderly person and the front desk clerk gave me a room on the first floor near the entrance. The drapes smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The room was comfortable and cool on a very warm and humid day even though I did not turn the air conditioner on.

Nice room; ok stay
[...] listed prices of $64.00 w/o free breakfast and $67.20 with free breakfast. But, hotel only offers free breakfasts on week days so we missed out on that--but apparently paid for it. The nightly room charge was also a little higher at $69.00.Manager didn't offer anything more than that [...] is supposed to take info from the hotel's web site which states free breakfast Monday thru Friday.

Nice Place, comfy
Check-in was nice and the rooms are clean if somewhat dated. The restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner, and on the weekends there is a brunch. It is Family friendly. On some weekends however there may be weddings here, which can get loud but not rowdy. Overall a very good experience.

Short drive from hotel
Scotty's Pizza is by 1st Street and Chestnut Street (head north on Central then turn west on Chestnut) it has good pizza, and chicken, on fridays of course there is fried fish.
