Good for families who want a pool
Stayed here on a stop-over for one night with two kids, 9 and 11. The room was fine. The bedding and furnishings were updated nicely. The bathroom showed a little wear and the age of the hotel. Pool area was nice, we went in the morning and had it to ourselves. The pool was cold, but we warmed up in the hot tub. Did not dine at the hotel or in the area. Overall, a good experience.

Gal at front desk was very welcoming and personable. Kind and helpful. As always, Holiday Inn is top notch in all aspects of an enjoyable stay. I choose Holiday Inn because I can always count on the highest level of cleanliness and excellent personnel who are helpful and welcoming.

dining was not available for breakfast on this particular date albeit the dining room was all prepared for guests. Ask about breakfast availability upon check in. There are dining places within walking distance as an option.

Museum
Pleasant,calming &efficient.
Went to the Maritime Museum very close by. Also stopped at the Super Walmart for great shopping and Gas for the car much cheaper than Chicago.

Great Overnight
My nephew and I were just looking for a place to spend the night after an evening at a local NFL football game. What we thought would be a standard room with two beds turned out to be above average. The beds were very comfortable with 3 fluffy pillows each with a blanket and comforter. The room had cable tv with in room movies; a comfortable table and chair and an equally comfortable living room chair. Everything, especially the bathroom was clean. The best part was that the owner thought to build near a variety of restaurants. This came in handy after the game. I will definitely stay here again.

The Perkins next door had a great breakfast for us the following morning. It was a good start to the day.
