Madison hotel with swimming pool by University of Wisconsin Arboretum

A Great Super 8
We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday this year while visiting family and were very impressed with the property overall. The best part of our 3 night stay was the fact that the pool, hot tub and exercise facility were accessible 24 hours a day. The lobby was very nice with coffee available and a large flat panel TV. The staff was friendly and the beds were very comfortable. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. The rooms were inexpensive but our overall impression from our stay says we'll be staying here again. It's a great value for your dollar.

Don't be afraid to try the many small coffee shops and restaurants in the area. We stopped at an indonesian restaurant and a chocolatier. We had a wonderful experience at both.

Good value for the money
This was just a brief stopover for an evening. I checked in late but the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is near a busy highway, though so it got noisy early on a weekday. It might not be as noisy on a weekend.

Basic accomodations but very tidy. There was a 24 hour pool available. Plenty of parking and the complimentory breakfast was great!

this place was excellent.
24 hour pool and fitness room. Cheap price, and excellent free breakfast. Good location also. For the price it was. Excellent.

Review of Madison South Super 8 Motel
The room was very clean and the air conditioning was working wonderfully! The staff was helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good, however, I wished there had been more fruit available, other than just apples. My only complaint (and a VERY minor one)about the room is that there were only two small soaps available. We were a party of two, and the soap was skimpy. Otherwise, it was great, and I would definitely stay again.

Culver's Restaurant is open until midnight, which is helpful if you are arriving late. It is on the service drive, just a few doors down on the right side.

Two and a Half Travelers
Great value, outstanding service!
Our small dog was welcome. All of the staff were very friendly and cooperative; we both have walking disabilities. The continental breakfast, including waffles, was superb! Internet service was excellent, and the business center was helpful to have. The motel was within 12 minutes of our convention center, and the price was excellent for the features, service, and location!

From looking at mapquest the hotel is well located to a few attractions in reasonable distance with easy to follow directions. And at night if your looking to get a good night sleep, stay far away from the elevator doors.

So so
I only stayed for one night. First there was a horrible smell in the hallway that can only be described as stale and moldy. Also, the walls and doors were very thin so you could hear people walking and talking up and down the hall, as well as doors slamming in the middle of the night. The breakfast was great though!
