Central to so much of Madison’s best with comfortable rooms to boot
With a great location near so many of Madison's most popular attractions, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms and a very friendly staff, the Doubletree Hotel Madison is a perfect choice for nearly everyone visiting the area. Stroll the Monona bike path or just gaze at the view from a sunny spot on the beach at Lake Monona or Mendota. Walk to the University of Wisconsin, the state capitol building or eclectic State Street. Then head back to the hotel for a dip in the heated indoor pool, a soak in the Jacuzzi or a meal at the on-site restaurant.

Excellent staff
We stayed in a standard king room, and the room was just that--standard. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The staff, however, was very friendly, and moved my rating from 3 to 4 stars.

Very accomodating- friendly.
Everything went smoothly, Just overnight but I found them very accomodating. Shuttle service was great.

Excellent hotel
We were in Madison for My Son's wedding. Had a very demanding schedule. The rooms ever perfect, clean, no mysterious odors. The amenities were just what we needed. Internet, TV, Micro, Small fridge for late night and unfinished meals on the go. Plenty of hanging space, and towels. Great rooms. ALL the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. One afternoon the kitchen was closed, yet the girl on staff personally made us what we wanted to eat with a smile. 24 gym just what my son wanted to not miss workouts while away, and my wife enjoyed the pool. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. Great security and parking too. Best Hotel stay we have ever experience.

"Downtown delight!"
Doubletree Madison was exquisite accomodations with a location that provided my daughter and I to be able to walk right into the U of W campus as well as the exciting downtown life.

Great Weekend Getaway
I really enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookie when I first checked-in. The staff was very friendly and asked if I needed any help with my bags or any help with directions for the weekend. The hotel room was great and I really enjoyed the Sweet Dreams bedding. It was great having an updated flat screen HDTV. In a lot of hotels they still have older TVs. A couple complaints that I have are in regards to the bathroom. There was no fan, so the room got very steamy during a shower. Also the water pressure was high so the tub filled up with water pretty fast so when I was taking a shower I was standing in about 2 inches of water. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay here.

Double Thumbs Up for Doubletree
PROS: Courteous, helpful staff, nice rooms. BEST shower ever! Cons:TV doesn't navigate that well. How about putting fans in the bathrooms? I thought they were required.

You're less than a mile from the Capitol Square. A safe walk, or just hop the Double Tree's Shuttle which runs until 10:30 each night.
