Affordable hotel on Madison’s west side offers free Wi-Fi and breakfast

Madison experience
This hotel was very disappointing after a stay at a beautiful Baymont hotel in Plymouth, WI. The hotel needs an update, and especially an elevator. The staff was pleasant and the room rate was good, but the room didn't measure up.

Baymont Inn Excesior Dr. Madison, WI
I had to go for my GMAT exam the next day. I really like the hotel. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was nice and quiet too, so I was able to get a lot of studying done. I really didn't leave my room, and ordered room service, which was reasonably priced as far as room service goes, and very good. Other than being there alone, the trip was wonderful. Their continental breakfast could use some meat on it. It's pretty much all carbs, but it was good too. I would definitely stay there again. It was great.

Madison Trip
At check-in, the Hotel had not yet been informed by [...] of two room cancellations that we had made 2-3 days earlier. The hotel staff insisted that three rooms had all been prepaid, when we only needed one room. This was somewhat awkward, but I called [...] and have been assured that I'll receive those refunds in full.

Not very impressed
We were up all night the first night becasue of the people next to our room. Complained and the hotel promised no one would be in the room for the next night. The next night 3 college kids rented the room,when I went to complain to the front desk the young girl said the manager does not work weekends and there was nothing she could do but move us. Very bad business.

A nice place with a hideous flaw.
It should have been a great place to stay, with large comfortable rooms. But there's a door between rooms that allows a LOT of noise from the other side. If they could fix that I'd definitely stay there again; if not then I might think twice. I'd rather not hear their TV or rather animated (to put it politely) phone conversations. Also might be a tad confusing to get to if you haven't been there before.

Great Hotel
Our stay was great. The bed in the room was amazing, so comfy that we ended up falling asleep both nights while watching TV. Continental leaves something to be desired, but then again what do you really expect with free breakfast.

Easy check-in & check-out
Several entrances, so convenient to get to room. Central located pool just right for kids, but probably too busy with kids for business traveler, although we stayed on weekend. Location is close to beltline, airport, and easy to get to.
