The staff was friendly the location was visually handsome with the water nearby. There were plenty of options for food. The hotel what appeared to be fine dining. We were with a family group so opted for other dining, all nearby.
The Radisson in La Crosse is a very nice, pleasant hotel. The hotel and the roooms are well kept, and the staff is very nice and accommadating. This is the third time I've stayed at the hotel for family functions, and it has a pool, an exercise
room, free parking for guests, and a computer for guests to use in a comfortable sitting area. The free Wi-Fi is also a nice perk. The hotel over-looks the Mississippi River, and there is a beautiful park just outside the hotel so you can walk along the Mississippi. It is also one block from the the town, where there are stores, shops, restaurants and pubs (including an ice cream parlor!). They renovated the lobby from the last time I was there, and eliminated one of their two restaurants, turning it into a ballroom. Unfortunately, that was the casual dining area, much like a pub, which was good for light/simple meals and for the kids. There is now only one restaurant, which serves very good food, but does not have the pub-style food or atmosphere offered by the prior restaurant. All in all, it's proximity to the airport, the town, and the river, along with the amenities and condition of the hotel, definitely makes it a great place to stay while in La Crosse.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
It's a college town, so there are plenty of bars/pubs to enjoy; and also an ice cream parlor - all within a few blocks of the hotel.
