Great stay

This hotel delivers exactly what you'd expect and what you paid for. The entire facility smells like the pool, but the rooms and linens were clean and fresh. The staff bent over backwards to make their guests happy. Super-convenient location and plenty of good coffee in their spacious breakfast room. Nothing to complain about.

There is a Hardees nearby, a rare find these days. Don't miss it.

Good room, good value

Upon checking in, counter person was extremely friendly and had a likable attitude. She was very accomodating. Room was nice and was clean for the price. Bed was very comfortable. Pool water seemed cloudy and seemed to be lacking chlorine or filtering needed maintenance. Did not use pool for this reason. Good economical place to stay for a "one-nighter".

Not bad for the price!

The hotel was accomodating. No problems checking in, an acceptable room on a Friday night for only $70. Only negative criteria was that 2 of the 3 bath towels were dirty

Mediocre

We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the staff was excellent. However within the first 10 minutes I had to call and ask for a new blanket for the bed. There were a few questionable marks on them and they were not stains. They were definitely fresh. The carpet was recently vacuumed but only up to about an inch before the wall. Within that inch there was dust and pieces of small bits... not sure what. There was not a fridge in the room. When we were in the pool a man asked us how much we payed and we told him $79.00 thinking that we got a deal online. He claimed he only payed $69.00 and he had walked in on that day and payed with cash. Overall it was an ok stay, however we will probably try another hotel on our next visit to La Crosse.

Terrible, disapointed... never again!!!

First issued room- window left open and had torn, ripped out screen- AC was running- room didn't look like it was finished being cleaned. Second issued room- okay, but in general not very clean. Next door neighbors were excessively loud awaking myself, my partner and Mother in the middle of the night. Asked the neighboring guests to settle down 4 times- reported to front desk twice-no resolve. Common areas not very clean. Staff friendly. BIG disappointment.

Name that smell

Although the rooms, hallways and pool area appeared very clean, there was (not good)odors. The bedding smelled like stale cigarette smoke, and the hallways had an icky smell associated to it. We were there for our son's college graduation-I needed to iron my dress but the ironing board was missing. I informed the front desk, they did call back to say they would attempt to find one, but I ended up ironing on a counter that a placed a towel on. The bed pillows left little to be desired.

Satisfied with Price

Stayed for a weekend train show. Average accomondations with microwave and fridge. Hair dryer, iron with board also in room. Pool was available. Continental breakfast was limited. For my purposes I was satisfied with my choice. Staff helpful.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

La Croose is a nice place to go. There were 3 activities at the convention center and numerous ones scheduled. Access to eateries from the center is walkable. The Freight Station is $27 a meal but you should go thre. It's good food and service.

Just OK

Hallways and Elevator were in pretty bad shape and smelled. Once you get past that, the room was fine. Clean. Horrible TV reception.

The Good, the bad and the ugly

It was the worst place I and my family have ever stayed. It was dirty, unkempt, smelled of moisture and with the exception of two persons, the staff was the same.

Very friendly front desk people. Continental breakfast was good. Very thin walls and the pool area was very, very warm.
