Americas Best Value Inn

I have never stayed at a noisier hotel! 3 doors down a couple of the rooms where having a party. We called front desk and they talked to them three times before threatening them that they where going to call the police to have them all removed. This went on until 4:30 a.m. When we finally got to sleep we were then woken by the squeeking of the floor above us, it sounded like an old house. It was terrible, we heard EVERY step! I woke up every time the mini refrig."kicked in" too. The walls of the hotel where filthy and in need of repainting. The rest of the room was clean but in need of much repair and updating. This hotel needed to have a COMPLETE make-over (or demolition). The "continental breakfast" had minimal items and there where no other amenities. The only positive was that the staff and manager where VERY nice. I did talk to the manager and she was very apologetic about the noise and offered to give us a discount and put us in a different building if we would give the hotel a second chance. Did I mention the room ran us over $100.00 with taxes? Needless to say I don't believe that will be happening but she did try to resolve what she could.

Last minute trip to area. Should have known something was up when it was only hotel with vacancies. Staff friendly in check-in. Room a disaster. Room smelled musty as if no fresh air had circulated in years. Brown stains on mat in bathroom, some black mold like substance in corners. Sheets on bed ripped. Had to unplug frig as it would make loud rattle every 2-3 minutes during the night. Free bfast wiped out and not restocked in morning. Need to designate one area outside for smokers as every entrance had 2-4 smokers at it all the time. Stay at your own risk.

Came to visit my family.I didn't really expect a lot since reviews are ok- not the greates but I sure got good bang for my bucks. Room was clean and w all extras that my family needed. I stayed in all kind of motels and sometimes you pay over $150 and don't have the frig or microvawe. I was happy w service and very friendly staff.Once again, my instict paid off. People should really look where they want to STAY and where they are BOOKING the room.This was Economy motel but great service and clean rooms-just what I was looking for.

We came in August and w/o reservation on Friday Night- its hard to find the room but one of the motels in Onalaska recomended this one and we had a great stay. We got so taken by location ( right accross the River ) so we stayed here for 3 days not in Onalaska where we first intended to be. Clean rooms, friendly staff and Manager who was always there to help us w anything. We will be back for sure. Loved the Patio.

We were not satisfied at all. i asked if they did wake up calles and he said they did, so I asked them to call us at 3:30am because we had to have our son at the hospital for an early morning surgery. I set my cell phones alarm because we could'nt find the alarm clock in the room, which was a good thing because they never even called the room to wake us, I so mad,I could'nt even yell at them because I would have gotten myself into trouble. WE COULD HAVE MISSED HIS SURGERY TIME!!When we got to our room, we turned on the a/c, it only blew air out about 12" from the unit itself, it didnt even cool the room down slightly. I called down to the front desk and tell him that the a/c is not working correctly, he didnt even offer another room. the place wasnt even busy! We were VERY DISSATISFIED!!

We had a very good experience, the heater worked fine, the room was clean, even had a microwave. The bed was comfortable. location was great, good restaurants in the area.

The door had been kicked in and miss-hung at some time, the curtains looked like they had shotgun patterns in the material, the mattress I slept on looked like someone had bled out on it (it was terribly stained), the bathroom was almost non-existent, there wasn't even a toilet lid, the drains didn't drain, the breakfast was unappealing (we walked across the street). I will never go back to that hotel and will do my best to spread the word to my friends that travel to avoid it at all costs.

The carpeting was not vacuumed around the bed legs. It was disgusting.

We were there just over night but it was one of the worse hotels we have ever stayed in. The beds were very uncomfortable felt like the springs were poking through. Molding was broke off corners showing nails I was concerned for my one year old granddaughter. The outside door #5 was busted did not need a key to get in. The frigerator kept making a loud clicking noise that would wake us up ever time it clicked. The only thing that was halfway desent was the continental breakfast

Hotel and room was very clean. Room needed attention. paint on wall was peeled. Refridgerator made so much noise I had to unplug. Bathroom fan made so much noise, suprised we did not get complaints from the next room. We had room 302 and that is next to entrance door number 7. Every time someone used the door the entire floor knew it. The door slamed shut and shook the entire room. Maybe that is why there was no pictures on the wall. Hard to sleep. Pillows were so flat. Tried to put three together and still was flat. Cheap but not worth it.
