Country Hearth Inn Eau Claire

The hotel was great for the price. We were there for parents weekend and the location was good for campus stuff and the layout was nice...we had a poolside room but it was only open til 10pm so the noise was minimal. Will consider staying again, soon.

The hotel staff was very nice. They allowed us to check out an hour later than required so that we could get some extra rest. There were not a lot of customers, so it was pretty quiet throughout the night. My issues with Orbitz.com as well as other hotel booking websites is that they do NOT list the "Pets allowed" feature as a possible additional expense. So you go to the hotel and get surprised with a $5-$15 additional cost to your room. Good points about the hotel: Wonderful pool and additional amenities The night staff is friendly, however the morning staff wasn't so pleasant Clean sheets, towels and bathroom Bad points about the hotel: The hotel is old, so therefore there are a lot of things falling apart or that are broken, such as the room curtains, the smoke detector was removed (which is a fire code violation) The tub was clean but stained. Ceiling had patches and rough repair work that looked tacky. The reason I gave this hotel the rating I did is because I believe that it is not worth a 3 star listing. I believe the websites only list this as a 3 star hotel due to it's amenities (which are very nice) however do not justify the reality of the environment.

The room was big and comfortable. They brought a microwave into the room so I could eat easily. It was a little noisy in the evening with the room right outside to pool and game area but was a reasonable amount of noise and quieted down at a reasonable hour. For what I paid for the room, I was very satisfied and comfortable.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Once we showed them the mistake they IMMEDIATELY fixed the situation.

Country Hearth Inn Eau Claire is not a place to stay if you expect a clean room with at least some updates and comfortable bed. The hallways reaked with cigarette smoke although my room was in a no-smoking wing. It is very run-down and no intentional effort to fix or update even cosmetics. I would call it a 1 star hotel at best. Breakfast is in an umarked room and would not be found without asking. Food is very limited--more a donut and cereal.

We needed a place that was quite and stress free and that is what we got in this hotel. The staff where great about giving us extra towels when we asked for them. We were very comfortable in this hotel.

The hotel pool is very large and good for family guest.

The room was a decent size, but thats about where the positive aspects end. The bathroom door was rotting away along the edges, the caulk and grout in the bathroom was black (and it wasn't supposed to be). The Hot Tub was drained and under construction. There was a rather large beetle type bug that was hanging out on our wall, and when I went to have breakfast from the continental breakfast, the milk was no good. It was a milk dispenser with a temperature gauge on the front with the needle far past "safe" and well into "Danger". Don't waste your time or money here.

It is an old hotel. The staff was very nice.

The Days Inn Eau Claire was just what we were looking for. Something close to the UW Eau Claire. We were there for orentation. The room was very nice, and clean!! We will book with them again when we go visit our child.
