Americas Best Value Inn

The staff were very helpful and always very nice. The location was close to UWEC campus and convenient to anywhere else we wanted to go in the area. My mother and I stayed here for my daughter's college graduation weekend and we would recommend the hotel. It is not fancy but it was comfortable and quiet. Having a restaurant and bar attached was nice too.

With 2 attached restaurants and the UW-Eau Claire campus right across the street, we had everything we needed to make our visit to the college convenient. You can walk or drive to campus events. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Computer access and a working printer. No, they're not paying me to say this. I liked it a lot and when our student was busy with other things, we were hanging out at the hotel and enjoying our free time on the outdoor attached room patio. 2 pools, one indoor and outdoor. You got a thumbs up from this review.

Had makeshift college dorm rooms just below us and listened to their music all night long, couple that with the couple dozen 9yr old or so hockey players running in the hallways unsupervised made for one long and unpleasant night. Beds were awful! Lumpy, hard, very uncomfortable BUT they were clean! Did not like having to walk the "smokers huddle" right outside both doors to our hallway. Could barely open the doors with them in the way and felt like Puff the Magic Dragon after clearing their "cloud" move it farther from the door please!!!!

housekeeping knocked on my door in the morning...left my door open when they checked to see if I was in there. I was...sleeping then when I wascoming back from my swim housekeeping was in my room, stripped the bed took all the towels. I didn't need to check out for another hour.

Very good pool and whirlpool, quiet room and good breakfast.

We came to Eau Claire for homecoming - just wanted an affordable hotel, close to campus, with the amenities we really needed (would allow dogs). The hotel staff was great!

They did not get me the right hotel room based on my itinerary and also would not switch me rooms at all. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

Hotel was an easy drive from Chippewa Vally airport. Since it's located on a main street, there were lots of restaurants and stores nearby. My queen-size bedroom was clean and had all the basic necessities that I wanted. On the 3rd night, my heating unit stopped working at 10pm. I called the office and they immediatly came and switched me to another room 2 doors down. My new room was already warm and toasty, which was important to me, being from California and in Wisconsin during their winter-snow season. The layout of the hotel was nice and the spread they had for the continental breakfast got me going until mid-morning. Planning on going back to WI in the fall and I will stay there again.
