Weekend Getaway!

Our oldest daughter was attending a special needs camp at Lake Geneva, so we surprised our youngest daughter with an overnight stay at this hotel. We had a great time, despite it being cold and snowy outside! The indoor pool was pleasantly warm so we were able to swim quite a bit! We also enjoyed exploring all the resort had to offer; numerous fireplaces, game room, ice cream/gelato shop, library, checkerboard tables, kids room (where we checked out games to play in our own room and other alcoves of the resort), etc., etc. We even had a great time making our own hide-n-seek game using our cell phones. 1 of us would be "it" and the other 2 would hide in one of the many seating areas of the resort. Once settled, we texted 3 clues to our location to the person that was "it". We are looking forward to booking an entire family vacation for my parent's 55th wedding anniversary in the summer. There is something for everyone!

Wonderful Long Weekend

Our first time at this hotel and my wife's first time to this area. Had a great time. The room was very nice and comfortable. Everything was clean. The grounds are beautiful. We ate twice in the Frontier Restaurant and really enjoyed it. They have a great seafood buffet on Friday and a great prime rib buffet on Saturday. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definately return here.

comfortable, well-appointed rooms

We loved the room makeover -- very upscale with all the creature comforts! The Frontier Restaurant served a lovely brunch and the food at the Lookout Bar & Grill was excellent. One thing that would have made it perfect: if the Frontier was open for dinner on Sunday night (it closes at 3). The signage could also be improved; it's very easy to get lost in those long hallways.

Book it.

The older I get, the harder it is to find an affordable hotel that I can really be comfortable in. The Lake Lawn Resort just about nailed it. We had Room 1704 with a loft, a balcony, and a half-bathroom upstairs. The shower was clean and the bathroom was well-lit. Almost every room here has a view of the lake from its balcony. Most of the walkways between buildings are enclosed so it should be warm enough in the winter. The drive to Lake Geneva is not even 15 minutes. Because the resort went bankrupt and closed down a few months ago (apparently), not everything is back up and running. But most amenities are available. It's nice that they bring adult beverages to you at the pool. I wish I could have stayed here longer.

"Enjoyable Getaway"

The room was neat and clean. We liked the fact that you could walk almost all the way around the resort and still stay indoors. Food was very good. Only make sure you have a reservation for the Frontier Restaurant because they book up fast. The only complaint we had was the TV selection. You had to pay extra for any movie channels, even to watch an episode of "Bones". For what we paid for the room, you should be given cable television.

Lake Lawn Resort

We have been to this resort twice a year for the past four years and usually stay in their luzury lodges. This time they were all sold out so we got a room at their Woodlawn complex. It is very dated but comfortable. The bathrooms, however, need some work. Our toilet did not fully flush which led to problems. Their water is not very good either. After the first time we stayed at Lake Lawn, regardless of the room, we brought our own drinking water. Other than that we really like Lake Lawn and will return. [...]

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Stay in their luzury lodges if possible. They were recently remodeled and are very nice. Bath tubs are huge. These rooms are close to all amenities. At a lower rate you can get a room in their Woodlawn complex but that is a further walk and not connected to the main lodge. It is also dated.

Cozy & Comfortable

Went to Lake Delavan for a relaxing weekend with my girlfriend. We chose the Lake Lawn because we liked the style of the hotel in the pictures on [...] and because it's right on the Lake. Lake Delavan as a town is also much quieter than Lake Geneva and that's what we were looking for. We stayed in the Luxury Lodge King room. The room was perfect and had outdoor style decorations all over. There is esposed wood and wooden lamps, bed frame, dresser, desk. You really get a "cabin" feel in the room. The bathroom was spotless and had a granite countertop and Kohler faucet. The shower had a "rain" nozzle and was very nice although the water pressure left something to be desired. The bed, pillows, and blankets were all very comfortable. The best part was the patio outside our room. There are two rocking chairs and a table outside and our view was towards the Lodge and Lake. The "Lawn" in the middle of the Resort is very pretty with a dozen or so old growth trees that were in their fall colors. You really wouldn't need to leave this resort if you didn't want to - everything is there. There is a bar (with pool table, darts, TVs, and karaoke at night), restaurant with very nice food, basketball courts, tennis courts, mini golf, gift/general store - everything you need. If you're going to Lake Delavan, stay here!
