In general, Quality Inns are decent motels within their price category. But this particular one has its Q-factor well below 100%.
I booked specifically a non-smoking room but was given a funky, smoking room instead. I wasn't told at check-in that
this is what they were giving me instead.
The room was only partially cleaned when I came. Items left by previous guest(s) were on the table and in the bathroom. Bathtub was not cleaned and full of hair. A used soap bar and a dirty hand towel were also in the tub. An ironing table with an iron on it was unfolded, situated in the middle of the room. Pillows looked like someone just slept on them.
Needless to say, I am not choosing this motel again - there are better options in Yakima for the same price.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Long walk from hotel
Outback Steakhouse is just a few blocks away. It is very popular and there may be a long wait, but the bar with full service usually has a few seats available.
Rooms were dirty and falling apart. Don't plan on using the pool as it is really disgusting. One of the desk clerks was exceptionally rude, but the other two were really nice. Pray you have quiet neighbors, as you can literally here every little
sound through the paper thin walls.
This is the perfect place to stay in Yakima for a short stay. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and it is right off the highway. The rooms are plain but nice -- we stayed in one with one king-sized bed. It had a mid-sized
refrigerator, a nice bathroom and sink area, a coffee maker in the room, a large TV with a variety of cable channels, a desk and a leather recliner. The hotel is in a great location as well.
I was here for a business meeting. I checked into the hotel around 6pm and around 9:30 when I was getting ready to go to bed I found ants all over the bathroom. After a tracking down the manager I moved to a different room which also had the
same ant problem. I slept horribly in the bed, and when people woke up around me the slamming doors at 5am where a great wake up call.
I spoke with the head manager and she was able to help me out with a very late checkout so after my meeting I could nap before the drive home but they were unable to give me any type of discount because I bought the hotel online.
I would not ever stay at this hotel again. The head manager even told me that they have been having ant problems.
