Close enough to late season hunting

Inexpensive hotel in decent condition. Had refrigerator and microwave but no coffee maker in the room, but not an issue. This place requires a "damage" deposit of $30 which is refunded. Never seen that before, make me wonder how bad the clientele might be.

Yakima still has a Black Angus. They are dependable for steak, not gourmet, but dependable.

don't believe the bad reviews

when i booked this hotel i did not read the 11 reviews until i had already booked it. All 11 reviews were bad--pay no attention! the staff was very pleasant, they went out of their way to find me a working ice machine AND I had all my teeth removed and got dentures (reason for trip) and when I got back I started bleeding badly. I could not talk. I wrote a note and gave it to the desk clerk. She called the dentist for me to find out that everything was okay. I stood there with bloody gauze in my mouth and she acted like nothing was happening---very, very nice. One of the 11 reviews said no restaurants!! MAN there was subway, artic circle, wendy's oriental restaurant, red lobster, and an AM/PM right on the same corner with the motel. There was also gas right there. The room was clean and all guest were quiet by 11pm. There was a stain or two, but you could see the stain had been cleaned and worked on. the only part i did not like was the train coming through with the whistle at 6 am--but that is not the fault of the motel. I have to go back in April and plan to stay again. We were given a $56 room for the [...] discount (39.95).

The most horrible hotel experience ever!

This was definitely the worst hotel experience in my life. I requested a non-smoking room but I got a smoking room with an ashtray on the nightstand and ashes in it. It was stinky and disgusting. I wanted to change the room but I was told that they didn't have a non-smoking room with one bed. I would be OK with a non-smoking room with 2 beds but they wanted me to charge 34 dollars more. I was still fine with that but the front desk agent didn't know how to charge the difference. [...]. Shortly, I had to stay in a disgusting and stinky room and I checked out very early in the morning to end the nightmare. NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!!

Filthy Rooms

The hotel was quiet but the carpets were filthy and condom wrappers left behind nightstand where I plugged in my phone. The FREE continental breakfast was all of english muffins, cereal and juice. Very poor choices compared to picture of website. I will never stay in this hotel nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. I will surely let people know just how my stay was. [...] really should take this hotel off their list of choices. I am now afraid to book with[...]

never again

We went to Yakima to enjoy the wineries in the area. All we were looking for was a reasonably priced clean motel. Upon arrival and noting that the hotel barely had a sign, but did have an advertisement for weekly rates it was already clear that this was not the best location. Our room was tiny and dirty and when we requested some type of modification to fix this we were told it was going to be an additional $40 a night to change rooms. As our reservation was nonrefundable we decided to just stick it out in our room and be there as little as possible. The hotel was clearly "sketchy" with various interesting types coming and going. Our doorframe was broken so that the actual lock on our door was less than secure. Our bed had a giant stain on it. Pretty much the only thing the place had going for it is that it did not have any bugs. We stayed away as much as possible and packed all of our belonging back in our car each day since the door didn't really lock. The motel is obviously the best of its type in this location, however that is not saying much. Don't stay here unless you are looking for a scary roadside motel experience.

Not very good quality

The breakfast was the worst of any motel that I have previously stayed. They had cherios or corn flakes, bagels, and a pitcher of orange juice. Their juice machine was broken. The room was not very well kept, the carpet needed shampooed and there were some broken items in the room. There were no shampoo bottles also. Two good things are that the air conditioner was very cool and the shower had hot water. The motel was only one notch above Motel 6.

Miner's hamburgers are awesome ($5.15 each), but large. French fries not very good, go to McDonalds for fries.

Worst stay ever

We went to Yakima for a family reunion and was so very happy we got to spend the day away from the room. The hotel was nothing like what it advertizes it was. The pool was small and unheated and all kinds of things in it we went to another family members hotel to use a real pool and the staff was all kinds of rude equipment did not work and the breakfast was a joke. I have learned my lesson. The rooms were not worth what I paid by far and on top of that they would not give me my receipt which is nonsense. This is not a hotel to be recommened at any price.
