Good inexpensive hotel

I went when it was the walla walla vineyard inn. I got a great price and the biggest single room. It was comfortable and nice. Perfect for a cheap hotel and it's right near downtown walla walla and Whitman college. The value for the money was exceptional.

Anniversary Weekend

Although this hotel has been remolded, the stale smell of cigarette smoke has permeated every square inch of the place. From the small lobby where you check in to the parking garage, but the room was the worst. The smell was terrible! Things are freshly painted and the bed was new and comfy but the smell over powered everything:(

Incredible value

This newly remodeled motel is a great value in a terrific location. The room was freshly painted (not my choice of colors, but fresh and cheerful), The bath was redone in granite, the pool sparkles and the staff is friendly and efficient. The location can't be beat, only a block away from the center of town with good restaurants and shopping. The air conditioning was great, we arrived on a very hot day and the room was cool and very quiet. The price was unbelievably low, I think it was the second lowest in town, so the fact that this also included a decent continental breakfast made it all the better deal. We left prior to the start of the breakfast hour, and the nice lady at the desk opened the room for us so that we could get a muffin and a cup of coffee to go. So nice to have staff who treat you as family. Great value and we will stay there again.

Try Olive Restaurant, the food was very good, fresh and surprising. Desserts to die for, but the hummus was the best!

Comfortable in Walla Walla

The motel appears to be in transition. Plants are overgrown, grass is dead, pool appears to be out of service and dirty. Building is in need of maintenance, both inside and out. On the plus side, the carpet seemed fairly new, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom/sink areas seemed clean and functioned well. The motel is also close to the center of the historic downtown district.

Bette Davis said it best.......

'What a dump!' Might of been the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The room in a previous time was obviously a smoking room and it still stunk like it and whatever they used to try and cover up the smell. The shower leaked water out onto the floor and we called the front desk to let them know and ask for some additional towels to be brought up so we could soak up the water, they told us to come get them. No offense dude, but this ain't my place and if you don't care anymore than that about water all over the floor, why should I. This place is definitely not for me. Location was good since it was across the street from a pretty good brew pub.

Not worth the convenient location

Very old, worn out. Advertised a workout area but equipment was old and did not work. Poor continental breakfast. Water in shower did not get warm enough.

Low cost hotel - not worth the savings

Musty smelling rooms - in terrible need of updating/upgrading - porch/balconies had crumbling ceilings with dry wall tape hanging down, etc... bed spreads were stained (yuk!). Rates on doors were from the '70's when Howard Johnson apparently owned the place (no lie!). Mattress pads only covered part of the beds (yuk again) and the mattress were very old and mushy. We were given 2 small pillows for each bed. The "continental" breakfast consisted of bagels and oranges - that was it. Two nights there and MY BACK IS KILLING ME - that's a first.
