Not exactly as promised.

The confirmation promised a pool-view, but we were given a room across a bridge facing a parking lot. The drink tickets were a nice idea, but the window to use them was a small 3-hours that would have required we stay at the hotel all evening. Overall, the room seemed nice, but the pillows gave us both terrible neck pain. Not worth the price. Next time I will book sooner so I can use a better hotel.

Level 2 was a great happy hour meal experience in the Old Mill District, just a short walk from the amphitheater concert we came to Bend for. Also McMenamin's is a great pub with a saltwater soaking pool. Much more grown-up and intimate than the Riverhouse.

Good for the price.

2 minute walk to historic downtown, just across the parkinglot from the Historic Marcus Whitman hotel as well. Great (inexpensive) stay for conventions at the MW.

Our experience

While there we toured the Whitman University campus, went to several wine tasting events, found a very special restaurant (about 20 miles away) which everyone enjoyed. We slept a bit late each day, and played dominos with family.

Budget Inn Walla Walla-Overall good expe

[...] The Clerk/Owner gave me a room and key on the front, I went to the room and someone was in it. [...] I didn't think this very accomodating, and I didn't appreciate the clerks attempt to give me a less desirable room. I don't know if I will stay here again, that interaction was very uncomfortable and unnecessary. I had made these reservations nearly a month in advance and feel that this treatment was beyond reproach.
