Good hotel close to Portland Swap Meet
Stayed at Red Lion because attending Portland Swap Meet about 2 miles away. Clean room but not available at 3pm and could hear foot steps from room above. Has restaurant and bar - very busy on Friday night we were there. Good Happy hour specials including food.

cold showers
We arrived shortly before the local boat parade was to begin,No parking available for hotel guests. Next night wedding at connected center, no parking available for hotel guests. When showering it turns ice cold if next shower is used. The security lock was broken for rear entrance so it was left propped open for 4 days with a rock in the doorway. We would never stay at this hotel again, even at the reduced rate.

Hospitality at the Quay
The stay at the Quay was great, was staying there to attend a business convention in Portland, Oregon, but the people working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The place was very relaxing, and every time I returned from the convention the sheets were fixed, there was brand new towels and everything was neat. To other trips it was a little different, just because I had the room all to myself.

It's Really a motel...
My room wasn't well maintained. Food on floor from previous guests, some cobwebs on the ceiling, doors and lighting falling apart. Aparently they also allow dogs on premises and rooms. I arrived at hotel at 4 am and needed sleep, I awoke to a dog barking nonstop in next room at 8am and was never able to get any rest after that. the next night there were large groups of young people (20's) that were drunk and shouting In the hallways starting from 11pm and going on through 4am, it was nonstop and most of it right at my room door - they even leaned against my door, and it rattled. The restaurant is good for dinners but breakfast is super heavy, greasy and cheap quality.

Red Lion Vancouver
We needed a quiet room at the end of a conference. I had brought my dog on my business trip and Red Lion is very pet friendly. The room was great--the fridge was especially appreciated. Great bed, great room, great location.

comfortable & convenient
We were in Vancouver for the Discovery Walks, which was only a short two blocks away. The price is right and the rooms, although a bit dated, were quite clean and comfortable. Recommend highly and will return.

good for quiet family visit
Hotel very convenient to river views and downtown Vancouver. Restaurant rather expensive but breakfast was more than ample. Room coffeemaker very inconvenient to set up--in non-sliding shelf and impossible to pour water without removing from shelf and unplugging. Not fun!
