Nice place
Clean hotel, very nice staff, pretty good free hot breakfast that goes beyond your basic toast and cereal. Seems like most guests are business travelers, at least during the week. I stayed there with a 2 year old and the staff was very nice to us. Surprisingly comfortable bed.

Great hotel!
Stayed at the Phoenix Inn for 4 nights while visiting Portland. The hotel was conveniently located near the airport, downtown Portland, the Pacific coast, and the Columbia Gorge. We were able to pack a lot of sights into our short stay due to the location. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, taking the time to discuss downtown Portland with us and options for transportation as well as letting us know he "good" and "bad" sections of the city. Room was clean and spacious. Pool was clean and not overcrowded with families. Continental breakfast was beyond what we expected or ever receive on the east coast. Overall this hotel was a steal for the price and convenience. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Short drive from hotel
We were discouraged to miss the Shanghai Tunnel tour which takes place at Hobo's which is a restaurant/bar next to China Town. Call ahead, the tour is not affiliated with the restaurant so the restaurant staff were not aware that the tour would not be showing up.

Clean bead, clean pool
Clean bed with warm bedding. Pool and hot tub had clean water if a bit strong on the chemicals. Morning breafast had a good selection if a bit plain. All the staff we met were friendly. Pretty easy to get to from PDX airport, 10 minutes or so 1/2 mile off I-205. Not a high end hotel but a good hotel at what was a fair price for us. We sayed for a week visiting family in Portland

Should not have to plunge own toilet
The room was wonderful, no complaints there at all, but the toilet was about to overflow, and we needed someone to fix it. We were offered the plunger, instead. Really?

very nice place
We have stayed at the Phoenix in Vancouver a couple of times and the staff is always friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. I find the beds super comfortable. Breakfast is included with your stay and while it is not gourmet, it is good and offers quite a variety that is especially appealing to families with young children.

The Inn was clean, quiet, had very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and only minutes away from the airport. Conveniently located near a good variety of shopping and dining options.

Great room, convenient location
We came to portland for a wedding reception. Unfortunately, the only flight had us arriving in Portland at 9:30 a.m. We arrived at the hotel an hour later but they didn't even bat an eye. They put us into a very nice room on the first floor. The room was spacious, with two queens, and a nice living space at the end. The room was spotless and comfortable. If we come back to the Vancouver area, we will stay here again.

College Research Trip to Portland/Van.
The hotel was nice. It has 3 restaurants in the parking lot which was terrific for us. We wished it had movie rentals in the room. The pool and exercise room were good. Proximity to the freeway was terrific for going into Portland or traveling into Washington. The front desk staff could have been more engaging but the cookies were good. The continental breakfast was adequate but could have used better protein - the pre-made eggs were disgusting. Overall, we were happy with the hotel.

Just don't miss the Columbia Gorge and the Aeornautical/Automotive Museum outside of Hood River. It was an unexpected highlight of our trip. AMAZING!
