One way we save money on food is to find a local restaurant that serves a good size breakfast at a great price. By eating a good breakfast we either skip lunch or eat light. For dinner we try to eat early (early bird specials) or order an appetizer and split a dinner. Really helps keep the food budget in line!

Before booking this hotel we read all other reviews and we agree. We're totally satisfied on our stay. The king bed is great, ... room is clean and quiet, has an LCD TV, a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and supply. We stayed there for 4 nights. Haven't tried the shuttle service since we rent a car nor used the swimming pool since we are out all day and back late afternoon. Continental breakfast is plenty. Parking is free. Location is good. It is near the airport, grocery and restaurant. Just a reminder be sure to have a GPS on going different places. Room space is sufficient. Not as big as those pricey hotel but lot of space to move around. Are we going to stay there again? Definitely.

Great Value and Great Service
Happy Traveler Jul 17, 2009
My fiance and I were looking for a really nice hotel close to Seattle, WA without having to pay the hefty prices of staying ... in the city - and we found it with this Best Western! I had never stayed at a Best Western before and was more than pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. The hotel is situated in Tukwila just off the 405 freeway with very easy access to all major freeways allowing us to bypass Seattle traffic but still be just a few minutes away from Seattle, Sea-Tac airport and the surrounding cities. Upon entering the hotel we found a lovely lobby with fireplace and comfy chairs, and a computer and printer (perfect for printing our boarding passes for the return trip). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of there way to give us ideas for restaurants and answer our questions. Rooms are a bit small but well designed and include a mini refrigerator (not stocked thankfully!), microwave, large flat screen TV, desk, chair and dresser. Our king size bed was so comfortable it rivaled my Tempurpedic bed at home and was outfitted with a cozy down comforter. We faced the "river" but it was more of a muddy stream but the trees and plants provided a lovely view. The only issue we had was our door lock had a problem so several times we had to have new key cards made or have the person on staff open the door for us. A minor annoyance since the hotel had so many positive features. We also noticed the bathroom sink was lower than average so if you are a tall person you may want to see if there are rooms with average height sinks. Although breakfast was included in the price of our room we never ate there. The one day we did check it out we found it was very heavy on bread products including biscuits and gravy, muffins, pastries and cereal. There were no eggs or meats offered so we went to a nearby IHOP and ordered food more to our liking All-in-all it was a great place to stay at a great price and we would highly recommend it. I'm sure we'll be traveling back to Seattle again and we'll definitely stay at the Best Western River's Edge.

Better Check in Early
Marathon Runner Jun 28, 2009
We booked this hotel a long time before our trip and requested a room with one large bed. However, upon our arrive at the ... end of a long day, we were given what we were told was the "last room" with two smaller beds on the main floor. We reqested a move to a larger room, but told that despite booked early we were only promised "a room" not a specific room. The carpet in the room was rather dirty. However, our friends who stayed in the same hotel on the second floor had a much cleaner room with a much larger bed. In defence of the hotel it was very quite and the beds were comfortable even if one small bed didn't fit my husband and I together we had a good sleep both before and after the Rock & Roll Marathon. The shuttle service to the marathon start was an added bonus! Great breakfast included with the hotel stay.

My wife and I found this hotel to be a real gem, especially considering what we paid. It had one of the most comfortable beds ... we have ever slept on. The staff was very friendly, especially the daytime shuttle driver,Rick. He is a friendly encyclopedia of information, not just about Seattle, but many other interesting things. He was the best part of the outstanding shuttle service. My wife loved the fact there is a huge, newly renovated mall within easy walking distance. Have not stayed in many Best Westerns, but I can't imagine one being nicer than this.

The Best Western River's Edge in Tukwila Washington was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has been recently renovated and the ... rooms are clean and modern. The bed was amazing. High mattress and very comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the business centre always seemed to be in use. I wanted to check something on the computer and didn't get a chance because it was always in use. Also the restaurant was closed for renovation.

The location of this hotel was very good since it was very close to the Southcenter Mall and not too far away from downtown ... Seattle. The hotel was just remodeled not too long ago and is very clean and tidy. There was quite a bit of a selection for breakfast and it was complimentary. Clean bathrooms and the room was spacious and just right for the great price. Great service! Too bad their restaurant was still remodeling.
