Rodeway Inn Tacoma

I paid to stay here 2 nights with my 2 year old. The room and all were fine. When it came to sleep, that wasnt gonna happen, only because the place is not only a hotel, but is a motel for people to live. I was getting harassing phone calls from someone throughout the night, knowing what room i was staying in and everything. That can scare a woman with a child, i called up front, they said that someone must have lived in my room and to put the phone off of the hook and they will leave me alone. Then i got a knock on the door an hour later from the same voice that was calling so i called the front desk, and that was it. not sure what they did but needless to stay, i paid for 2 nights and only stayed 1. will not stay again.

Motel website said it had a continential breakfast, which was the whole reason we picked this particular motel. When we got there to check in, there was a sign on the counter saying they no longer served a continential breakfast. When I asked what compensation I would get for this lack of advertised amenity, I was told "nothing". [...]

I WAS THERE JUST TO GET AWAY FOR A NIGHT. IT IS A LITTLE RUN DOWN MOTEL, BUT OK FOR THE PRICE. MY ROOM WAS MARKED NON-SMOKING, BUT THERE WERE BURN MARKS ON THE BLANKET. THEIR AD SAID BREAKFAST, BUT WHEN YOU GOT THERE THE SIGN ON THE DOOR SAID NONE. GOOD THING I WAS NOT HUNGRY....LOL. NOT A MOTEL FOR ANYONE WHO CAN NOT ROUGH IT FOR A NIGHT.

The service was good, and the location was decent. The room was average. This hotel was pretty basic; there weren't any outstanding qualities. The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel is that in our room there were large air bubbles under the floor which were a bit startling to step on.

VERY POOR. The tile floor was not glued down. When you walk the tile popped up under your feet. I'm talking 3 or 4 inche drop as you walk. The add is false advertising. Most of the amenities listed did not exist. When I turned in the key at 3:30 am, the desk attendant would not unlock the lobby door. He made me walk around the building, in the rain to hand him the room keys through a window.

This Motel is in a scary area. Lots of foot traffic that doesn't belong there. Not a secure building situation. Everything is wide open and available to be taken. You leave it, they will grab it. That's during the daytime! I was scared to death and baricaded myself in at night.

Our expectations were only for a clean, comfortable room. The bathroom was dirty, the tub surround had come loose and secured with screws. The caulking a mess. Maintenance a joke. The pool was locked up the entire time both days we were there. The neighborhood scary and dirty. (used syringe in the gutter) For the money we spent we expected more.

Hotel was clean, no ofensive odors, but with several scary looking fellows milling about! The bed had a definite pitch to the middle- could probably have used a new mattress! Altogether was not a bad deal for the price!
