BEST WESTERN Tacoma Dome Hotel

For the price not a good deal. Beds uncomfortable, and the staff were not on the same page. Wanted to charge me $30 to upgrade from double beds to queen beds for for each day. so $120 .... crazy

Stayed here becasue it was convenient to I-5 and I needed to be in Olympia the next day. Staff was very pleasant and I was checked in within 5 minutes of my arrival. Room was clean and had a nice view of Tacoma. Breakfast was good but a little cold for ham and sausages. Overall it was a very nice place to stay and very quiet though near a train track. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

The room itself was nice and clean. if you stood too close to the windows, you could feel the cold air coming in. The sheets had a strong bleach smell. The water in the bathroom sink was extremely hot but in the shower it wasn't. As my son put it, it was almost as warm as pool water. We had dinner in the restaurant. When we ordered ice tea the waitress said it wasn't very good. It was too strong. Tried to order the steak but she said they didn't have any. However 5 minutes earlier my son and I watched her walk by with a steak on her tray. We ordered 2 hamburgers and fish and chips. the hamburgers were semi warm and the fries were half cooked. My son said his fish tasted like dirt. I took a bite of it and he was right. We will stay again but wont eat there. It was not our first bad experience eating there. Just thought we would try the food again and nothing has changed. We give the food a rating of .5.

Room was clean and comfortable. Only paid $65 for the room and it came with a very good buffet breakfast - eggs, sausage, potatoes, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, juice, and more. Great deal!!

The room was great, bed was comfortable, didn't have any issues. The breakfast was a full out meal, lots to choose from, and the coffee was strong. Staff was nice and friendly. I would recommend the stay.

My friend and I were visiting for a wedding. We only stayed one night, but really had no issues. We got to the hotel a little early, but they were not able to accomodate us and check in. The desk person was polite and friendly, but did ask us to come back in 45 minutes. I'm not complaining as that was prior to the established check-in time, just be aware they won't do that. The rooms were clean and quiet. The bed spreads were clean but not very substantial so if you are a covers person, you'll want to ask for extra blankets.

Having traveled quite a bit, we are accustomed to three star hotels that have a complimentary breakfast included in the deal. Typically, the coffee is horrible. But this hotel served some of the best coffee I have had at any hotel anywhere. I even brought along some Starbucks Via packs in case I needed to use them, but didn't. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, with a good number of offerings, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would have liked the option of skim milk. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. So no complaints. The area of town could've been better, but Tacoma is not that big so we were only five to ten minutes from our destination anyway. All in all, I'd stay there again.

My roommate and I attended a 4 day workshop in Tacoma Wa. We had a very long day so it was wonderful to have such good accommodations to return to at night. The breakfast was better than most.The staff was the most impressive in their helpfulness and attention. I totally enjoyed being able to leave the car parked and take the shuttle to the Convention Center at no cost. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

This was my third time staying at this hotel over the past 3-4 years. It has everything a business traveler needs. I like staying by tacoma downtown to be able to eat/drink some of the better local food/beer. Try the Parkway Tavern for the best beer bar in the area.
