Old Flare with modern touch

This hotel has an old flare with great athletic facilities and a classy restaurant far from pretentious. It is nestled in one of the most quaint corners of Spokane just a block from downtown. It is best for adult couples with a taste of old Europe yest ready to hit the gym and have a great workout.

Outing with daughter

With the hotel located at an odd intersection and one-way streets, along with the name of "Spokane Club" being in large letters in the adjacent building made finding the actual hotel and the front entrance a little difficult. While the hotel has some charm for those that prefer to not stay in chain hotels, I was disappointed with my stay. Parking is located 1 1/2 blocks away or across the street behind the building which is fine, however there is no valet service and it made getting the bags to and from the car a hassle. Every time I wanted to go in and out of the parking that was provided (for an additional charge), I had to phone the hotel front desk to be buzzed in out out. Something I got rather annoyed with. Additionally, they had two events going on in the hotel the evening of my stay and I felt a little as though those two events is where the money was coming from for them and the hotel guests were not top priority. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was to have access to the restaurant located inside the building, however it was booked for a private party. The band playing for one of the private parties could be heard from my hotel room, making going to sleep difficult before the band finally wrapped up for the night. I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again.

(good) older feel

My wife and I stayed here because we wanted to stay close to the downtown area, allowing us to get a feel for what Spokane has to offer! The hotel is within a short short walking distance to the Falls and to the unique mall and shopping area with lots of places to eat etc. The Spokane Club itself has character due to it's age built in 1910 it carries the old hotel feel, but a classy old feeling, the rooms are smaller and have a unique smell, but there nice. The bathroom was the only real disappointment and needed to be updated, both the shower and sink areas. Our particular room had some street noise which didn't both us until the Saturday morning with all the people headed to the Falls. (To be expected tho) The parking is my only ding on this place if I was to recommend it to a friend. You have to unload on the busy street and then park (self)down the block. This is at an additional $10 dollars a night. More inconvenient than anything else, no valet even offered. My overall rating 1-10 would be a solid 7, cryonics not to stay in the typical hotel for a change.

Great Location

Had tickets for the Fox Theater and want to stay some place within easy walking distance. This was perfect. It was close but far enough away to not be too noisy. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. It's an older hotel but well maintained.

Spokane's best-kept secret!

This was perfect for my four-day stay. The hotel is right at the heart of downtown with great access to shops, restaurants and local attractions. The health club is great. The staff were all very nice and knowledgeable.

Nice enough place.

I thought they would be a little more into their history, but the rooms were fine. What ended up after the question to, "Do you have parking?" was a surprise parking charge on my MasterCard, and it wasn't even valeted!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Dinner was a little pricy, especially with the 18% gratuity pre-added, but a cozy little restaurant. We didn't even see the chef in it's open kitchen (?). If you want to use the "free" gym, make sure to get there during their business hours. I had been looking forward to using their pool and treadmill, but was sadly disappointed they closed at 6:00 sharp!
