Fun girls weekend

This hotel was perfect for a girl's weekend in Spokane. It is within walking dinstance of the INB arena, and for downtown shopping and eating. We ate dinner in the hotel one night, and enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast the next day. Room was clean and comfy, and we had a fun time. We didn't have a micro or fridge in the room, and it seemed the site said we would. We didn't ask the hotel staff about it though, as it was cold enough outside to leave left-overs. Only thing I wish they had was complimentary coffee/tea 24/7 in the lobby.

Good for business traveller

Nice location on the Spokane River, and close to walk to Convention Center. Winter during stay, so no use of the pool or outdoor areas. My particular maid was a bit sloppy and inconsistent. I stayed five nights, and was gone each day all day, so I should know. The motel is under various indoor maintenence, and also at the entrance to the main lobby. It's a long, linear motel and a long walk to the lobby if located far away. I liked that, but if someone won't like that they should request a room closer to the lobby.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Walking the downtown or historic sites near the River Red Lion is fun due to the old style brick buildings and architecture. Good shpping too, although I was not there for shopping.

Not bad

Overall not a bad place to stay. Took a bit to adjust to the sprawling layout of the hotel. Didn't help that the lower hallway was closed and without any elevators you had to go up a flight of stairs and back down to bypass the closure (wouldn't be good for someone with limited mobility). Room was quiet and away from street noise. Beds and pillows comfortable. Restaurant onsite had decent food and prices. Internet connectivity was poor and this was a deal breaker for me. If I didn't depend on internet I would consider staying again.

Good location and restaurant on river

Everything was fine. Comfortable room. Pleasant front desk staff. Restaurant and bar on the river. Halibut fish and chips was good. Mac and Jack African amber beer was the perfect addition.

An Old Friend

On occassion I need to return to my home town for various functions. It is always nice to know that I can stay at the Red Lion because it is in a central location, the rooms are always clean and I feel safe. I feel that I have received good value from my stay.

OK for the money

This hotel experience was "OK" at best considering I was barely in room for this business trip to Spokane. Cleanliness was satisfactory or minimal and there was an odor in the hotel and room that made you question it more. I requested refrigerator twice and was told one would be delivered only to never actually receive one. Internet experience was HORRIBLE as I could receive email but not send any emails out regardless of how small the email was. Location of hotel was literally 1 block from the location I was there for so that was probably the best thing about this hotel choice for me.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

I was able to drive to any dining location where there were many choices in a matter of minutes. There is also dining inside hotel but i did not experience these.

I wish they had had

The hotel was great - near Gonzaga and restaurants. The room was extremely comfortable and the staff was wonderful, but I wish the room had a refrigerator and microwave. I guess that's why I gave a few lower scores.

Loved it!

The room was great, had everything that I needed. My only complaint is that the breakfast buffet ended at 9am; I wouldn't liked it to have gone to 10am. But the restaurant did give me complimentary coffee. I drank it on the patio, with a wonderful view of the river.
