Great customer service

Staff worked with me when I needed to rebook, even though I was within 24 hours of my reservation. Very nice people. Great location.

desk clerk needs work

the hotel itself was fine, comfortable but not extraordinary. the only issue was the desk clerk. We had made reservations for two nights and paid in advance and wondered if we could cancel the second night. She said we needed to go through the booking agent.. That was fine , except the agent clerk needed her input and he was put on hold for so long he asked us to go check with her. Cell phone to ear, I went to the front desk and a maintenance person was chatting with her through the door to the back room . when I explained that the booking clerk wanted her input she angrily answered "I know, he is on hold, I have customers to deal with." Meanwhile THIS customer was on hold for over a half hour because the booking agent couldn't get timely help from her.

Simple, easy comfort

I stayed here with my boyfriend over a few days and found the hotel very lovely. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating (and friendly!). The location is great -- right next to the river and the park, and pretty close to some great places downtown. We took a walk to and around the park and right down to the city on Thanksgiving. It was pretty cold, or we would've stayed out longer. As it was cold, we hurried back and enjoyed the cozy room. I booked a single queen and it was still a pretty spacious room with lots and lots of amenities. Will likely stay here again when I have the chance.

Great Breakfast

A pretty good value for the money, especially with the 15% discount. The included breakfast was way better than average, and they even brought the coffee to our table.

I love staying here. Great value, great location, great staff. The bed was a little soft, but other than that it was perfect. I will stay here again and so should you.

Pleased, Will Return

We travel to Spokane every few years for a long weekend. We usually stay at the other Red Lion however the deal was too good to pass up so we stayed here. The hotel is older but they have maintained it. The grounds are immaculate with flowers, trees, nice grassy areas, tennis court, pool, and the deck along the river is a nice place to sit. The rooms are updated and comfortable. The pillows were lousy but that's it. The hallways have an institutional feel (care home/dorm) which worried me until we got into the room. The staff were very friendly. Walking distance to downtown is easy and it goes through the always truly beautiful park which is one reason we like going to Spokane and we always stay in that area.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Proximity to downtown means leaving the car at the hotel and walking through the a beautiful park that extends a long way on both sides of the river. Walking to restaurants and shopping doesn't get much nicer and no parking hassles.

Expected a little bit more

The staff was very helpful and supportive when I asked for a 2nd story room. I was placed in the last building and there was very little lighting in the parking lot. I didn't feel safe without much lighting, so I didn't feel comfortable in a 1st floor room. The room itself was clean and well lit. I will definitely stay in a Red Lion again, but won't stay at this particular Red Lion due to location in downtown Spokane.
