Great for Gonzaga visitors
Booked a two-night stay for a trip to visit Gonzaga. Room was very nice and roomy, and perfect location for anyone visiting the Gonzaga campus. Front desk gave us spot-on directions for walking to and from campus (no car needed), and then suggested many restaurant options and provided a shuttle to and from downtown for dinner. One slight glitch was that we requested a taxi to the airport for the morning of our departure which didn't get on the schedule (may have been the taxi company's problem), but the Holiday Inn revved up the shuttle bus and the manager drove us to the airport. . . great service and attention to detail!

overpriced
For the money, this was not a positive experience. Although staff was helpful and most responsive, there were too many problems: backed up plumbing, rooms not soundproof, elevator not working when moving luggage into room. This was too expensive for the problems encountered...

So So
First room overlooked the roofs of the cars(second floor). Moved to 3rd story south side and got a view of the river, Much better. My girlfriend had trouble with the door lock sticking, I had to come up to help her get in our room. The hotel's resolution was to remove the lock faceplate. Sorry for the next guy, they probably put it back on. The breakfast bar was fair, sausage dry, cereal was bulk no-name brand (Fruitios??), the rest seemed good (bagels, eng. muffins, eggs). It is in a good location to go shopping and walking in the park. Parking is a bit limited. Service desk was friendly.

Comfortable Stay
We found the room clean and the area quiet at night. The breakfast in the morning was excellant with much variety. Cookies and mike at night is a very nice touch. We will make sure this will be a place we look for when in Spokane.

When I arrived at the Hotel, I was exhausted from my travels. I wanted to check in early. The front desk staff, had me take a seat, spoke with housekeeping and I was in my room in 20 minutes. Now, that's customer service!

A safe and comfortable place
The Holiday Inn Express was and is always a very comfortable stay for me. The staff are positive and go out of their way to be accomodating. The rooms are large, and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are very clean and the towels are extra thick and monogramed. Not only is there a micro wave but a small refrigerator. The continental breakfast is way beyond what other hotels offer and getting a newspaper is always appreciated by me. I was looking forward to milk and cookies but I got in so late that they were all gone. Next time. Whenever I go to Spokane I stay at this hotel and will do so in the future. It is a real value for my money and a very pleasant experience.

Short drive from hotel
The river and park are a short walking distance from the hotel. In faact you can easily walk down town. Do go on the gondola ride--it is worth the money.
