Noisy room, nice place

Went directly to my room to order room service and go to bed. Hotel is lovely, well appointed, food good. Unfortunately I was placed next to the ice and vending machines and elevators. It constantly woke me all night. Next time I will ask for a room at the end of the hall.

Copnvention Center Location

The hotel was very good. The room was clean, linens crisp, and the floor was vacuumed. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Breakfast was served in Shutter's Cafe. The food was good. However, the scrambled eggs in the buffet had sour cream (i think) in them. I did not like them at all, but the rest was good. The service was very attentive. The waitress asked if I wanted scrambled eggs made instead of the buffet eggs since I told her I did not like them... I thought that was very nice. Dinner was served in Spencer's Restaurant. The steaks were excellent; but very pricey.....everything is al-a-carte and expensive. A steak, salad, and potato was over $60 without any liquor or wine. Service was average.

Great Location

We came in to visit family but love to stay downtown. Doubletree is close to shopping and is close to a wonderful park area for walking. We love to visit the falls and walk around the area. Hotel was fine/comfortable although it states that it is a Deluxe King but there really wasn't anything deluxe about it except we had a nice view of the park. The HVAC unit in the room was so loud we had to turn it off to watch tv or to sleep. Bed was comfortable but not great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

If you have children or just like to walk/run it is close to parks and with great walking/running areas... the Spokane falls close by is a nice treat and worth seeing.

Doubletree Hotel Spokane City Center

Doubletree is consistently better at providing a delightful travel experience, and the Spokane City City Center facility is no exception. The surroundings are exquisite, the staff helpful and friendly, and the accomodations are without peer. The pricing of everything inside the doors, aside from the room, is outrageous, so I recommend that you do all drinking and dining elsewhere.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Italian Kitchen, just two blocks away, is a gem. The food is delicious, the portions more than ample, and the staff warm and friendly. They make a visitor feel welcome in style! But don't drive there - you'll miss the charm of the old city, and there is no free public parking in Spokane.

Good but not superior

Staff seem very hurried at evening check in. They don't mention the parking change when you make the reservation (it's is $16/night). Room service was slow and missing a few key items (hello...bottle opener, hello...ketchup). Room was fairly noisy, but clean and well appointed. Not anything extra special though. IN any case, if you need to have close access to the convention center this is probably the best choice.

Definitely not worth the money!

For the price we paid, we expected a little more in the way of cleanliness.

Less then expected

We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was no better then denny's yet triple the cost. there was no ice on our floor, the soda machine was empty we asked for our 3 rooms to be together and they were not. The parking garage was out back and open to the public a bit inconvienient. The bed was great the rooms were clean and neat.
