Highly acclaimed eastern Washington luxury hotel and spa
Gilded in gold for a century, the renovated Davenport Hotel and Tower is a shining star of downtown Spokane, Washington. This luxury, AAA Four Diamond rated hotel has topped hospitality lists east of Seattle since reopening in 2002. Combining an architectural showcase of Spokane yesteryear and modern world-class elegance, Davenport Hotel and Tower attracts passersby daily to its Peacock Bar and glitzy European lobby. This large hotel has three restaurants and 611 guest rooms in two buildings.
Highlights
- Great walking location in city center, near shopping and dining
- The Peacock Room, a Spokane must-see
- Pets welcome (fees apply) and complimentary dog walking available
- Spa Paradiso features indoor lap pools, fitness center and more
- Complimentary town car service within a 2-mile radius of the hotel
Rooms
Rooms in the landmark building are stately with hand-carved mahogany furniture and marble bathrooms. The larger 328-room tower building, which opened in 2007, channels an elegant safari vacation with animal patterned upholstery and custom furniture from Indonesia and Africa. All rooms in both Davenport buildings provide fine linens, down comforters, and bath products by Lady Primrose. Hi-tech amenities include flat-screen TVs, complimentary wired and wireless Internet access and in-room safes. ADA compliant rooms can be requested.
Features
Davenport Hotel and Tower was originally designed in the days of great ocean liners like the Titanic, evident in the grand marble lobby with grand piano, read golf leaf fireplace and ornate European-style cathedral ceilings. This is where services such as complimentary shoe shine, full-service concierge, town car, flower and candy shops can be found.
Dining
Davenport Hotel and Tower claims origination of the Crab Louie salad, named for the first hotel owner, Louis Davenport, who imported fresh Seattle crabmeat here. Modern-day guests dine on this classic alongside strong martinis at the colorful Peacock Room, or prime rib at classy Palm Court. A grill in the tower building serves gourmet breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. 24/7 room service is available.
Recreation
Indulge in a warm stone massage at Spa Paradiso, Spokane's premium day spa. Indoor lap pools, hot tubs and state-of-the-art 24/7 fitness centers are located in each building.

Our Hotel room was nice nothing spectacular. The one complaint we had was there was no water presure when showering. I will have to say the room was a bit over priced. But staff was very pleasant.

good option in downtown Spokane
Stayed in new tower. Extremely comfortable bed (soft pillow top). Well designed room, very clean. Great shower. Quiet air conditioning system. Safari restaurant on first level was B quality - not bad but nothing special. Definitely worth touring the original hotel across the street, a classic building almost 100 years old.

Davenport Hotel - Tower
Convenient to central Spokane. Very clean and comfortable, with nicely appointed rooms. We stayed in the Tower, and our friend had her wedding reception in the nearby main hotel, which is a work of art and not to be missed. The Tower has an excellent restaurant / bar off the lobby, the Safari Room, which has really good food at reasonable prices. Staff was very friendly and professional.

DAVENPORT HOTEL
We stayed at the Davenport for several nights, used valet parking, had breakfast in the hotel twice, and had drinks at the bar twice. Everything was really stellar. Room was super nice, comfortable, and clean. I have traveled a lot in my career and on holiday and this would rank at or near the top. Only thing I could have like better was bar soaps rather than the dispensed liquid soaps. Very good central location as well.

Hit the Centennial trail for bike riding or running. Very nice views to the west from downtown about 5 miles from the Davenport.
