Highly acclaimed eastern Washington luxury hotel and spa
Gilded in gold for a century, the renovated Davenport Hotel and Tower is a shining star of downtown Spokane, Washington. This luxury, AAA Four Diamond rated hotel has topped hospitality lists east of Seattle since reopening in 2002. Combining an architectural showcase of Spokane yesteryear and modern world-class elegance, Davenport Hotel and Tower attracts passersby daily to its Peacock Bar and glitzy European lobby. This large hotel has three restaurants and 611 guest rooms in two buildings.
Highlights
- Great walking location in city center, near shopping and dining
- The Peacock Room, a Spokane must-see
- Pets welcome (fees apply) and complimentary dog walking available
- Spa Paradiso features indoor lap pools, fitness center and more
- Complimentary town car service within a 2-mile radius of the hotel
Rooms
Rooms in the landmark building are stately with hand-carved mahogany furniture and marble bathrooms. The larger 328-room tower building, which opened in 2007, channels an elegant safari vacation with animal patterned upholstery and custom furniture from Indonesia and Africa. All rooms in both Davenport buildings provide fine linens, down comforters, and bath products by Lady Primrose. Hi-tech amenities include flat-screen TVs, complimentary wired and wireless Internet access and in-room safes. ADA compliant rooms can be requested.
Features
Davenport Hotel and Tower was originally designed in the days of great ocean liners like the Titanic, evident in the grand marble lobby with grand piano, read golf leaf fireplace and ornate European-style cathedral ceilings. This is where services such as complimentary shoe shine, full-service concierge, town car, flower and candy shops can be found.
Dining
Davenport Hotel and Tower claims origination of the Crab Louie salad, named for the first hotel owner, Louis Davenport, who imported fresh Seattle crabmeat here. Modern-day guests dine on this classic alongside strong martinis at the colorful Peacock Room, or prime rib at classy Palm Court. A grill in the tower building serves gourmet breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. 24/7 room service is available.
Recreation
Indulge in a warm stone massage at Spa Paradiso, Spokane's premium day spa. Indoor lap pools, hot tubs and state-of-the-art 24/7 fitness centers are located in each building.

Great Escape
Lovely place to welcome in the New Year! Beautiful Christmas Decorations and luxurious atmosphere. Customer Service was awesome! My only dissappointment was that I loved the pillows on the bed so much I bought one at the store and it was nothing like the one I slept on. They will not let me return my 70 dollar pillow and I still do not get to sleep on one like the one on my beautiful heavenly bed I slept in the two nights I was there!

The best stay in Spokane.
We had a great time staying in the new Davenport Hotel Tower. 25th floor northern view. We only had an did an overnight but had lot's of fun as follows: 1- Saturday afternoon the Tower Bar. Great windows lots of light, Jungle decor lots of fun. 2- Last minute massage at the Old Davenport across the street. Excellent staff and spa. 3- Didn't have the clothes for formal dining at the Old Davenport so we had a great dinner in the Tower Grill. 4- Though we were in the middle of downtown, we didn't have to go out anywhere to have a great time.

Concert and shopping
Our stay at this hotel was great. We enjoyed not only couple time, but family time and shared a wonderful Happy Hour experience with our family who were also staying in the hotel. The staff was great from the front desk to the valet service and we even had a service tech fix our safe for us. When our family forgot something in their room and we were staying on for another night, security found the item and made sure we had it in our possesion but not before signing for it. (not just anyone could take it). AND we received free shuttle rides to and from our concert which was a big treat. We will definately be staying here again!

Davenport Tower
The room is layed out oddly and I kept kicking the chair leg in the dark. Ouch! The main hotel (bar) is great and across the street. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There are three train tracks very near the hotel but the windows don't alow any train noise in. I love trains so being able to watch trains go by was a plus for me (a plus for anyone traveling with little kids).

My review of Davenport Hotel and Tower
The Davenport Hotel is a grand fully restored old Hotel in a very convienent downtown location. Our room was very clean and spacious. However their overnight parking is across a busy highway and the valet did not offer to take our bags off my car before self parking considering we did not know how far we would have to carry our suitcases. We received a large bright room high up but over looking a roof top with two large intake, exhuast fans which could be heard a little in our room even with the windows closed. The marble bath room and vanity was the finest I have ever seen. The staff was very curteous and polite and the hotel was clean and beautiful. The jacuzzi was hot and really relaxed us after a long drive and dinner. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

From the time of check-in onward we were impressed by the level of service and frienly attitude of the staff who actually appeared to enjoy being there , which is so often not the case nowdays . Spectacular appointments and architecture reminisent of the Grand Hotels of another era . Lots of Great restaurants nearby as well as those in the Hotel . Perfect for a special getaway for a couple . Had a great meal with superb wine at a nearby Greek restaurant called Nikkos

Love it!
The rooms are decorated in fun themes. The downstairs lobby was busy with people having fun and food. We had a cocktail at the Safari bar before heading out for dinner and the staff was fun.
