Marvelous Marriott Experience

I had a 48 hour business trip in Spokane where I needed overnight lodging. Wonderful hotel accommodations and staff. Over the top helpful and professional. I forgot about rainy Washington State weather and was in need of an umbrella for my stay. The hotel was very helpful in loaning me an umbrella for my stay. So nice!

I've had better...

Our trip was for a family reunion and to not chance stepping on toes with unfamiliar relatives, we chose to stay in a hotel. This worked great! Our kids got the sleep they needed (no crying babies or night owls keeping us up). This hotel didn't match past experiences at other similar hotels. The food they offered was over prices ($4/bowl of oatmeal). They did have a fridge we could use, so we purchased our own milk, cereal, etc. to keep dining costs down. There was a pancake house in the next parking lot, it was okay. The water bottles in the room cost money... something a family of little boys may not think of when opening and drinking half of a bottle before opening the next one. The movies are VERY expensive $13/movie. Loved the laundry room! Very helpful to wash clothes, especially when traveling with a baby. The mattresses were HEAVENLY to sleep on. They offered a crib, no charge.

100% SATISFIED

The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing but still exciting with an amazing lobby. The room was very clean and neat. The bed and pillows were fantastic and ultra-comfortable. I will stay at this same hotel next time I'm staying in Spokane.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

A very short distance fom the hotel is the Riverpark Square shopping center and also a nightclub called Marquee. Marquee is definitely one of the nicest clubs in Spokane featuring an upstairs VIP area, dancefloor, 3 bars, and a classy dresscode. It's a must do if you are in the mood for some late night fun.

graduation stay in June

We were there for a high school graduation. The location was just a few blocks from the convention center. We really enjoyed the indoor spa and pool. I was surprised at the cost of the breakfast buffet, $11.95 per person so we had breakfast at Perkins next door. However we were able to get a carafe of coffee and a bowl full of creamers from the breakfast buffet and they were very nice about that. The nicest part about the hotel was the proximity to the park downtown along the river. Truly a treasure.

My review of Courtyard by Marriott Spokane Downtown at the Convention Center

Peaceful and quiet. Not as near to the convention center as you would think based on the advertisement. Need to cross a highway or go down the riverbank to reach the convention center.
