Work Related Stay

I found the hotel to be better than expected, especially for its age. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection and being on the top floor offered a great view of the city. I was very pleased with the staff as I had a maintenance problem and it was dealt with promptly. The Wi-Fi was better than most which is important to me as my business needs are internet based. I will stay here again when I return in August.

Can't say enough good things - Thanks!!

An unexpected home run value. Booked online via mobile while driving to Tacoma with my daughter. Slightly tricky to get to but great room, great front desk guy, and one of the nicest breakfast rooms you'll find in this type of motel anywhere. And best of all -- really, really fast WiFi. Excellent!!!

Bad experience

Hot tub wasn't working. Bathroom fan was very noisy, as was the refrigerator. Room, hallways were stuffy. Not a very positive experience overall

Good buy

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. When our son decided to spend the night, we got a rollaway without a problem or additional expense. The location was very convenient for our needs. I would stay here again. It was a good buy. You don't get much more at other area hotels, which cost a lot more.

one nite visit

The rooms are great. the breakfast is good. However, I would give them an F for management. We were sound asleep and at midnight when a tour of about 40 visitors came in, the hotel interspersed them thru-out the rooms where 'regular' guests were. The kids played musical rooms til 3 in the morning. Doors banging, loud talking. NO SLEEP for most guests at the Comfort INN that night. They should have put the tour in it's own wing. So, I had a nice bed, but did not get to sleep. Miserable the next day. Staff said, 'sorry, we are learning'. That was the end of it.

Staff needs lesson in class!

My husband and I reserved & paid for a room online through Orbitz. I was looking for "pet friendly" hotels & this Comfort Inn came up. NOTHING was said about an extra pet fee. AFTER we checked in the desk clerk informed us we must pay an extra 15.00 (plus tax) fee for our 10 pound Pekengese "Gustave". I told her this was not disclosed when we paid online and we would not have reserved the room had we known there was an extra fee as we were already paying aprox. 85.00 for a sunday night room. This heavily tattoed clerk was very rude and in a snippy manner shoved a form at us and sent us on our way. We assumed we would not be charged as I made it clear we wanted a refund and would stay elsewhere if the undisclosed pet fee was charged. After our trip I checked my credit card online and lo and behold the clerk charged us 16.00 &some change for a "pet fee"! It took a couple of different long distance phone calls but finally the hotel manager graciously removed the unauthorized fee after assuring me the pet fee was standard and they would work to make it more visible on the orbitz website. Other than the rude tatooed clerk the night desk clerk was extremely professional and helpful. (nothing against tatoo's but a hotel clerk should look more professional &classy-perhaps a long sleeve shirt-"dress appropriately for the job"?) The room was average for the cost. The pool and spa was super and the breakfast was nice. As a couple who frequently travel with our pet from now on I will choose hotels that do not charge extra for pets. Most pets are cleaner than alot of people-to be charged extra when customers are already paying good money is ridiculous.

Favorite cheap spot in Spokane

I fly through Spokane and frequently have to spend the night because of long drive home and border crossing, so I've tried most of the cheaper places in Spokane. I think this is the best in 50-70 range..comfortable beds, quiet, clean. My only complaint is that the water pressure is a bit on the low side. It's a bit further away from downtown core but that's a plus in my book and it's easy to get to.
