Comfortable, Clean and Affordable
I was very happy with my stay at Silverdale Beach Hotel (dec28th-Jan1st).The staff was extremely accommodating and not only allowed me to check in early but also arrange to stay in the same room for an extra night. My room was comfortable and clean as was the rest of the hotel. I had a room on the main floor and it was very quiet. While I did not use the gym the equipment looked up to date and there was even complimentary (chilled)bottled water available.The hotel is in a very convenient location with easy access to the major freeway, Naval base, several grocery stores, Target and restaurants etc.. All in all I had a very pleasant stay and I would definitely book this hotel again.

Bit messy but comfy
Was a bit discouraged upon reading reviews but was prompted by location and word of mouth. Arrived to warm welcome by friendly clerk...unfortunately she didn't mention in house amenities such as downstairs pool or restaurant, but I'm one to research beforehand and already knew. Room was very clean and water view was amazing! Overall comfy stay but if planning trip soon, be prepared for renovation mess and early morning hallway noise.

Beach & birds
Hotel is under going renovations which it needs. Did not bother guests. The resturant food is very good which it had not been before the new chef was hired and room refurbished. Looking forward to the final stage of how the hotel will be!

3 night stay
Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Close to everything you might need. View of the water. A little old and run down but very comfortable for the price.

Hidden costs
I was surprised upon checking in that we would have an additional charge of $11.00 per day for resort fees. They said it was in the small print, but it wasn't on the papers. Upon checkout they deleted the charge. I was happy about that. We reserved another room for one night through the Hotel - late arrival and early leaving the next morning for a family member, but they put the resort charge on that room. Should have complained more.

Not a quiet weekend
The room was clean but the bed made my husband and me itchy. The bathroom was super small. There was a band playing the couple of nights we stayed so it was a bit noisy.

Second stay
11 AM desk staff rude and non-helpful, lectured us on check-in time. Room was "standard" not the same as my last trip , again staff blamed me. No attempt to correct or make ammends for slight. Requested room be made up early the next moring, returned at 10AM and room not attended as requested. Again no effort to make amends. Waited in lobby for 1/2 hour then when went to room maid came and asked if I wanted clean sheets! Small old TV, alarm clock not working, electrical outlet falls from wall, overbed light switch missing with bare connection exposed. Maid sent maintenance right away but no apologies from desk or management as to room condition, only from maid and maintenance man. If you choose this hotel be sure you specify "Deluxe Room", even though they advertise all rooms are ",deluxe, beautiful room, flat screen, iHome clock, ............." Only amenities for $11.00 per day are hot tub,pool, media room with 2 computers. Not worth the price even at $50 per day!!!!!! Oh yes, you do get a free latte a day.............
