Spend elsewhere
I was pretty excited about staying at the W. I live in the same city, so staying at a hotel was for the service and to relax. It was awful. The guy came back with a fruit bowl, that was disgusting, and still had the other salad on the bill, as if the bowl of old fruit would suffice. I called and left a message for the manager. He called back (which was nice) but all he said was sorry, I can have someone from that department call you and try to see why your food was bad... uh, I don't get it. So anyway, don't go there. Seattle is food and hotel mecca- there are a thousand places to stay and I do often. Never again at the W.

Disappointed !
Front desk employers are cold, without passion. House keeping service need better improvement. People who worked in restaurant need to be more professional.

great location
This hotel is located right downtown on 4th but other than the location I would not pay full price to stay. I didn't find any of the front desk staff friendly or helpfull.I was also very dissapointed to find the lobby washroom always a mess. The room was fine but would not bring me back.I will admit I did like the bathroom and the bliss products left for you. Basicly location ,location, location.3 blocks from shopping, 5 from pike place and close to safco field.

good central location
We had never been to Seattle before, so we were excited to visit. I choose to upgrade rooms to a corner room. good choice..but in hindsight, I would asked to be on a higher floor. we were on the 4th...and didn't have a very good view of the city. The staff seemed pretty friendly and helpful. Only after I booked the trip, did I find that the overnight parking rate was around 40 bucks. that seemed really high considering you could park in another hotel a couple blocks away for alot less. On the 2nd day, went came back to the room to change clothes and found the room had not been serviced yet. In fact they arrived right before we did. This was about 5pm! we choose to have her leave so we could use the room...not good! Our complaint went un-heard by the seemingly friendly staff.. all in all the hotel is in a good, central location to roam about the city...

W SEATTLE
The location of the W hotel is fantastic and within walking distance of great food and great shopping. The hotel itself was very nice and I did like my room. I did have a problem with the mini bar. The staff did not restock my snacks or my drinks and then I discovered that the one snack that I did purchase was expired my three months. When I called the whenever whatever line they just said they were sorry they didn't even offer to give me a refund. The maids were also substandard in the cleaning of the room. I had to ask for more soap and they didn't even dump my trash in the bathroom. I just feel that when I pay this much for a room these mistakes should not happen.

Great Location
Seattle in March is rainy and cloudy, if you like the rain - this is the best month to travel there. The W Hotel is located near the light rail and Public Market Place. It was walking distance from major tourist spots and stores. I would definitely stay here again. However, I wish they had a coffee maker inside the room to use and curtains, instead of blinds for privacy. Overall, my experience is good staying in the hotel.

Nice rooms; unromantic décor
I picked this hotel because it's right at the heart of downtown and close to everything I wanted to visit in one weekend. The staff was friendly, and the room was comfortable and relatively classy (great view of the new Seattle Public Library, plus they upgraded me!) but the hallways were flooded with creepy blue light (part of the modern theme, I guess) and the lobby and cocktail lounge were a little tacky. For the price, I would expect more luxury, more warm lighting, and less gimmicky surroundings. The colorful sushi in the bar made me feel like I was in Vegas. We stayed just one night here; had dinner at the Tillikum café in Belltown and brunch at Sitka & Spruce the next morning. Both excellent restaurants within walking distance. If I were to stay in the same area again, I would probably pick the Fairmont, which is right next door, or the Monaco across the street.

Sitka & Spruce has a wonderful breakfast/brunch menu and a nice sun-flooded dining area. Plus they give you delicious homemade salted caramels at the end of the meal.

Mold in the bathtub again
I enjoy the liveliness of the W in downtown Seattle. I was disappointed that the tub surround had mold (again. This happened on a prior stay as well). I am very allergic to mold, so became very congested and uncomfortable but did not know why until I took a bath the next morning.
