Football weekend with the family

Would recommend Sat, Nov 7, 2015
Went out to seattle to watch a seahawks game and meetup with some family out there and the W was a great hotel to stay at. Was very easy to walk over to the stadium, great bar in the hotel and down the street very close to restaurants and downtown which was great as well.

First time experience: two big disappointments.

Would not recommend Sun, Sep 27, 2015
W hotel, Seattle, WA, USA Guest from 23-Sep to 25-Sep, 2015. At my first experience at a W, I have to say it has been a kind of disappointment. Good things first. Great location hotel nicely designed and furnished loved the vibes every evening with a lobby dj, good crowd and and the aperitivo feeling clean. But... It may be my fault not investigating enough the W brand of the Starwood collection. But I thought that a brand so well marketed as the W, needed no investigation. It would be the usual Starwood experience, design oriented, very well served and organized, offering a cooler service and made for the younger clientele. Not even a second of doubt about all the basic amenities of a hotel at the standard of Starwood, especially if it's at their cool kid, the W. And here's my two biggest disappointment. 1. No complimentary guest WiFi internet in the room. The only free WiFi was in the lobby, ops..living room. Considering a 330+ USD stay per night, this was a huge disappointment. I've stayed in lodges for 80$ per night, with free room WiFi...just saying. 2. No free parking for guest! 60$ for guests overnight parking??? What? In a downtown location such as the one of the W in Seattle, you've got to offer complimentary parking to guests. Seriously.... All and all, nice looking hotel, excellent location, menu ok (good breakfast) Terrible value for money.

Absolutely wonderful staff. The young lady who checked us in couldn't have been more helpful! Even took the time to recommend places to visit. Our room was comfortable and clean.

Great view of parking garage

Would not recommend Mon, Aug 24, 2015
I had upgraded the room to a corner room. The room had lots of windows that looked into a parking garage that was right next door. We have stayed there before without upgrading the room, and had a great room. We asked to be moved, but they did they only had twin beds available.

A Disappointment

Would not recommend Sun, Jul 12, 2015
My wife and I had been on the road for two weeks and had reserved the W for two nights at the end of the trip. We wanted to visit the Chihuly exhibition. Our first disappointment was driving up and seeing the overnight parking was $61.00. We then had trouble at check in as our room wasn't ready. The staff seemed a little distracted. Finally a room was found. WiFi was not included. Could be had for a fee. We negotiated that and signed up for a rewards program to get free wifi. Our room was comfortable, well appointed and clean. It was on the 4th street side. 5th floor and traffic noise could be heard. All in all I have to say that for the room charge, parking fee, potentially a wifi fee, we found that the W is not any value at all.
